From the looks of the photos in todays paper, William Barela must have been doing a great business. Can you imagine the cost of the food that he has apparently been stuffing down his throat to get that big?? Seriously dude, lay off of the burritos.. Do some honest work for a living. It may help with your weight problem.

Not so fast ...

Who wants this next to their homes?

Let's see, extra people hanging out into the wee hours of the morning, eventually prostitution, drugs etc. attracted by the ganbling activities for your kids to see? Yes and please don't come up with "your kids shouldn't be up that late" when they are awakened by the accompanying party noise.

Hmmm ... maybe a few threats telling folks to keep quiet ... amazing that they wonder why the po-pos showed up.

Not an innocent home party - Get real folks.

Amen to that..From someone who has lived near these fools for some time now, I'm happy that finally something has been done. I now feel empowered to call if I see it starting up again.

You have got to be kidding me. Don't the LCPD have anything better to do? Let the guys enjoy a friendly game of poker. What's next: Am I leaving too many lights on in my house?(or) Is my cat climbing my tree too many times? This is ridiculous!

I hope you all feel much safer down there knowing these "dangerous" criminals have been caught and the great Susana Martinez will no doubt prosecute them to the full extent of her law.

So, why not just let people gamble. What's the big deal? We allow the existance of casinos. I personally don't care if people gamble. It's no more risky than putting your money in a 401K or simply investing in the stock market. I guess you are supposed to feel better when you get screwed on the stocks or bonds. Let people do as they please with their money. You don't like any of this stuff, then simply don't practice them. More rules, more laws, more taxes, less freedom, more communism.

You are ignoring the problem!!! It was the traffic, the noise, the strangers coming and going all night, the trash in our yards they tossed, blocking our driveways. What part of that do you not understand?

What, exactly, is illegal? What a good little follower you are!

You know, in downtown Tucson it's illegal to sit or squat on the sidewalk. Doesn't matter if you're a stinking hippie, a professional derelict, or just some guy walking around exploring and wants to take five - if Big Bro or its Minions sees you, expect a hassle.

Back in the old days - like 50 years ago when people actually had juevos and worked together instead of locking their doors and closing their drapes to watch American Idol every night, naked - problem people in the community would be rectified with a swift azz-kicking and a few flat tires, smashed windows. Solved. Now it's dial 911 and whine, whine, whine, and clog the court system with a bunch of inane bull$hit.

Pathetic. Excuse me while I go blast my brains out. You're welcome.

The funny thing is, you and the other cry babies are probably some of the idiots showing up to the games. The people in the neighbor hood do not care about all your foolish reasons on why we should tolerate this problem. We will let the police try to stop it, and if it continues, We can and will make enough noise to law enforcement, news papers, radio, not to mention making the gamblers feel uncomfortable, filming, writing down license plates ect...we don't want you in our neighborhood.Go somewhere out on a farm or one of the players houses with property, then do what you wish, but not a small residential neighborhood that has small streets with 30 to 50 cars EVERY WEDNESDAY & SATURDAY NIGHT!! If we wanted to have a birthday party for our own family members, we wouldnt have a place to park because of all the strangers cars that dont belong here. And no, I really dont want to make friends with people who are that inconsiderate!

If you think that these three guys are nice guys, check out the letter on craigs list, las cruces, that one of juan berelas co-workers wrote about him and his crooked work ethics while at the local prison. And it is a shame to have william fox working for the las cruces public schools, where kids are involved!!! And william berela, related to his crooked uncle juan, working for the state at DMV,makes us feel really secure. And you say the police are crooked!!!

Looks like Boot, Red Apple, Abq and Like Trash live in the North end of Egypt! What's that you say? Meanining they are in denial!(Da Nile in case it wnet over your heads). Go ahead flame away Internet keyboard heroes.

One thing for sure, folks get tired of the mess you all consider minor problems. You probably don't have children, don't care what happens around your home, etc. Most responsible people do care and will take the affirmative steps to do the right thing.

If you guys want to conduct commercial gambling, take it to the middle of the desert and do it 'till it hurts. Threaten your neighbors, expect folks to take steps to stop the behaviors before they get worse.

For those that need it, I know a good canoe dealer since denial runs after the rainy season! Our monsoon season just finished. Get to gettin'!

I do not gamble, nor do I have a desire to gamble. Doesn't do anything for me. Don't make assumptions that put your credibility in question.

I take it you were not able to get in these people's faces and tell them to GTFO? If you approached these guys and told them to take their game elsewhere, then you may be a little better than you sound.

Pancho Libre,

You also make way too many ASSumptions. Sounds like you live in a bad neighborhood. Maybe you should consider moving so that your children and family are around better people.

There are such things as bad parts of town. Why would you choose to live there? Here I go making assumptions too.

You are totally right, you are making ASSumptions. This was a good part of town and a good neighborhood and will continue to be once we get these low lifes out of here.If it was a bad neighborhood I would have never bought here to begin with.Unfortunatly, the whole city of las cruces will be the bad side of town if we let these morans take over. Its not going to happen on my street, an for your info, we got in their face, thats why their going to jail!!

Hey Boot Get real ...

Why defend the wrongdoers?

BTW - I could get "into the face" of the wrongdoers but I chose to allow the system to work. Give the "man" a chance before taking action on your own is a great life mantra.

I've got nothing to prove. They're lucky some of us didn't elect other options first to take care of the problem. Otherwise the police may have had to mount a rescue mission rather than an arrest takedown. Never underestimate the human spirit when faced with adversity - we can be very creative problem solvers.

Libra

Happy New Year, Libra!. How's that poor old body feeling this morning?! If you're having a gathering, include casual acquaintances or newcomers as if they were one of the family. You're a real social animal and you know how to put people at their ease. This is a wonderful talent: not only do you have a network of friends and social contacts, as well as business ones, but you have the ability to bring others together. Perhaps you should start a dating agency this year!
