Drivers in a jam as cone zones multiply

Make sure your not speeding in the "work zone". Visiting from out of town, and got up early and decided to do some sightseeing and headed to Clay Terrace. Apparently didn't get my speed down once I crossed the work zone sign. At 7:31 a.m. on Saturday and workers present about 1/4 mile on down road. Wish I would have seen them over the hill, because I sure would have slowed down much sooner. Welcome to Carmel

I Obviously was over the limit, but do have a problem with police departments who find the need to trap the citizens. Placing a vehicle at the crest, of hill 1/10 of mile from the speed sign. If you let off the gas as I did your still going to coast into the zone over. Other areas I have travelled place a car in plain vew, essentially saying "hey slow down" . Are the really more interested in collecting fines or protecting the construction worker. In this case I'm not so sure.
