I enjoy Twin River, we always have fun when we go. We often head up there after midnights with $20 bucks and walk out with a couple hundred. They desperatly need table games but the people of lincoln don't want it, and congress is having a tuff time allowing table games because of it. They just opened 24hrs during the weekend so when there isn't anything to do it's cool to just head up there and hand out for a bit. They have some great restaurants and it is just a matter of time before it becomes a full-fledged casino. However, I noticed cleanliness to be an issue, with dust all over the top of all the machines and it can be freezing in some of the rooms. I also agree with the above statements about the point cards, their useless.
And by the way the highest payouts are in the smoking areas because that is the area with people who have addicted personalities. Machines are good there, try not to play any GTECH machines though.
You must work there

I agree they have gotten TIGHT!. spend $200-$300 weekly (drop in the bucket for me as i make a very high salary -- i go mainly for the entertainment & to get away from a very crazy work week although it would be swell to WIN a little somethin' somethin')i often alternate between Newport Grand & Twin River for the last year & 1/2. never win jack shit. and i've noticed they are cutting back on stuff (probably because of the recent state of the economy i'm sure they are in the same situation making cut-backs). Waitresses with drinks are dwindling; often experience empty toilet rolls & no papertowels in any of the stalls & noone cleaning facilities. Hit the "service" button on your slot machine & expect at least a 10-15 minute wait.. take a walk & try to locate someone.. good luck, seems like your alone there... I can go on here, but i think you get the picture. If your going just for the fun of it i guess it's ok although don't expect any decent pay-outs. I'm considering taking the extra 1/2 hour to head to Foxwoods like another poster suggested although i'm afraid of similiar experiences.(i'm 1hr 15 minutes to Foxwoods VS 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to Newport or Twin River). Maybe I shall look for a new hobby.

My husband and I go every weekend to Twin River for our night out and have a great time. On the weekend they have free entertainment at the lighthouse bar which works out awsome because money is tight in our house! No to mention Fado Irish Pub is our favorite resturant and VERY affordable.
See you there Friday!

I like the way they have the smoking section on the first floor. Doesn't smoke rise? If TR owes the state money wouldn't you think that is why the machines aren't paying out!?

Why the commericials every 3 mins for the "Lighthouse" Enough already! Over and over and over... Plus the Keno machines don't pay. I've played in Ct, Montreal, Halifax, California and Vegas. I have never lost as much money as I did at TW. The first time I though - "Bad Day" went home licking my wounds. But after visiting 6 times and dropping several hundred. It's time to say "Bye-bye" Oh and my favorite next to the commericials for the "Lighthouse" is when I asked how much my 162 points were worth. OTFLMAO...162 pennies! LOL I've earned $1.62 for spending $500
Sorry TW, I'll spend where I'm rewarded with a free drink and actual rewards, not pennies. Hello Foxwoods!:-)

The place needs to be investgated buy the Feds. You have no recourse or protection from the state because there are no regulators to speak of. They want to let you think that the lottery commission is in charge but thats a joke,,,,,just give them a call and ask them a question about payouts......not a clue. When you play 1 dollar credits on keno and you cant hit 1 number...forget about 2 theres gotta be somthing wrong. Well there just shooting themselves in the foot because by the end of the year mass will have slot parlors because they will have to make up the difference for the loss of the greyhound racing.GOOOOOOOOOD BY TWIN RIVER.

Twin River is a joke and with their running into bankruptcy soon I "HIGHLY" doubt the payouts will improve anytime soon. Go to Foxwwods or Mohegan....PERIOD!

all you guys complaining about the pay outs dont understand that Twin River doesnt control the slot machines. all of the machines are maintained by gtech and maybe one or two other vendors, and are not regulated by the twin river company. do you think that airports near las vegas control the slot machines in their terminals? i bet twin river decided it was a good idea to "program" a machine to pay out a 2.3 million dollar jackpot last week?
oh and if you read the papers, twin river is making more money up 10% from last year, and its not actually the casino thats in trouble with bankruptcy, but the owners who cant repay their 600 million debt? twin river generates too much $$ for the state, the place wont close, the ownership will just change hands.
and guess what, when that happens, the machines will still be paying out the same.
there is no department in a casino that can program their slots on a daily basis to keep more money.
its a casino, you are supposed to lose. its entertainment, thats it. some people get lucky.

I might go once every three months. It is very obvious that machines that used to pay off a few instances a year ago are now so tight that you have no chance of winning on any machine. Even the blackjack games are money losers. Guess the impending bankruptcy is squeezing everyone.

bob says that g-tech controls the machines but I'm sure they can tell which machines are paying off too much. Then they then send in the g-tech gremlins at night to just change one character on the third wheel so that payoffs that need successive 1-2-3 characters come up fewer times. Prove me wrong, g-tech!!

tried twin rivers for the first time yesterday and will not be returning. very few regular jacks or better video poker machines and the ones that they have are not 9/6 payouts. anyone who knows how to play video poker would not play here.

To Donna Gosselin.
I can appreciate your story about the $20.00 and I believe you.
I got my $15.00 bonus play and decided to move after a couple of pulls. The smoke was killing me so I went upstairs, put my "slip" into another machine and pulled once and got a balance of 30 cents! What happened to my $12.65? It was in the machine on the first floor that wouldn't come out because it was a bonus play and had to stay in that machine even if I didn't want to play it anymore, and when I had the manager check the camera..well, you guessed it, someone used up the rest of my Bonus Play. With the thousands I have lost there you would think that the manager would have given me a voucher for my loss. Not even an apology! I went today to swipe my card. I got a big $5.00 bonus. Not worth the gasoline to get there. Yes,it is dirty there!

been going to twin rivers for a few years now, after what I heard tonight from one of the security guards it makes me sick I would ever walk in that place. Them and there commity of super cops all talked bad about a 90 year old lady that couldnt walk well no more... It makes me sick to think they could do such a thing, and Im gonna sit there and pay there salary.. Im all set... I have lost probably 100,000 up there within a year and I dont play to heavy maybe 30 cents to 4 dollars, I usually win walk out find myself there the next day giving it all back... However back to the point, it truly makes me sick to think these people with a little power treat others with disrespect, I truly hate twin rivers it brings the worst out in people, I wish someone would bomb that place one day... Yea when no one is in it. =)

I am very upset and disgusted with twin river, i played a dollar slot the other day, i put a slip in for 13 dollars, none of the buttons would light up, there was one little light on the right that just looked like a tiny bulb, tried to get it to do something , like get my slip out of there, no, tried to make a spin, no,after several times i finally found an attendant, he was unable to open the machine cuz he said it was still spinning, from what? i dont know? nothing on the screen was moving, he finally gets it opened and hands me a slip with 7.00 dollars on it, and then just tried to walk away, i said to him wait a minute i put in 13.00 so where is the rest of my money, well he tells me that i must of been betting,NO!! HELLO! i didnt get to spin it, the machinne would not light up so i wanted my money out of it, and first of all it wouldn't let me spin, IT'S NOT BAD ENOUGH THAT THE MACHINES ARE SUCKING IN THE PAYOUTS, BUT COME ON YOU GOTTA RIP US OFF ALSO, EITHER GET SOME NEW MACHINES OR GET SOME ATTENDANTS WITH SOME BRAINS!!

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Virgo

You aren't fooling anyone - it's easy for everyone else to see that inexperienced people are unaware of their obligations, Virgo. You're grumpy about starting a familiar process from the beginning again, but don't let that get in the way of getting on with it. Sour grapes have no place in your daily dealings. Although you may 'own' a project, it's ultimately in the hands of someone else. Deal with it and then move on.
