300 million for the feds to buy green cars.
Priorities seem to be a little out of whack here. I don't approve of either but just saying. Now we are rewarding laziness too. Amazing stuff to witness.

What higher priority can you think of, than ensuring that every American can tune into Dear Telepromper on their TV, every week!

1 By my calculation, it's more like 1.72 BILLION dollars in converter coupons. Perhaps you were referring to some other kind of government expenditure. Or perhaps you pulled that figure out of the same orifice as the green car number. |

1 It's funny how many people in this forum will go off-topic just to take a jab at the guy they didn't vote for, or leans in the other political direction than them. |

It's all here if you are interested in educating yourself. http://online.wsj.com/public/resources/docume... |

I'm really not trying to get into a p*ssing contest with you, but the WSJ $650 figure is the total of "Coupons, education and consumer support for digital to analogue converter box program".$510 million of that is for the coupons. However, what this does not tell you is the $510 million is addtional funding after the original $890 million was exhausted. So it's more like $1.4 Billion. I guess we have both been educated. |

Um, who increased funding for this program, because Americans (while dishing out $60 per month for cable) can't dish out $50 for this box? |
