That'll look even better during the upcoming rainouts and postponements...wonder what it'll look like if the Twins make it to the World Series & a blizzard like the one in 1991 hits ?
Does anyone here remember that Minnesota weather during the first six weeks of the regular season (& during the postseason) SUCKS?
A new ballpark this far north with no retractable roof (at a time where the Twins NEED every penny they can squeeze from us poor fans during their 81 scheduled home games, because they can't afford to lose $$$ from rainouts or postponements)= STUPID.

Statistically, the first six weeks of the season will have similar weather as Chicago, Detroit, New York, Cleveland, Philadelphia and Boston. Statistically, September into mid-October is milder in Minneapolis than half the cities mentioned. Your comments = IGNORANT

Well, if you had ever been down there, you'd know the answer to your question. It doesn't smell.

REAL Minnesotans aren't weather wusses. It's a beautiful park and I am excited to go - rain or shine.

Remember that win you buy a ticket and it gets rained out. Statistics and meteorology are two different subjects. Ultimately, statistics cannot predict what the weather will do in Minnesota. It can be 65 degrees and 10 degrees the next. Nevertheless, the field still looks awesome, I cant wait! Your comments = IGNORANT

So your best argument is to reference something that occurred 18 years ago?

Only problem i have with the stadium is not enough bleacher seats up against the outfield wall. For $40 bucks I should have the chance to catch a home run ball.

As a tax payer, I am still waiting for Mother's Day cards from all the kids I've helped to raise, thanks to our lovely little welfare plan.

Now we just have to get the richest owner family in pro sports to put a decent team on the field. We might get the MVP in Joe Mauer, but the World Series trophy is back in New York. They whooped us 10 straight times last year. Ugh.

What all of baseball needs is a salary cap like football has...you know, any given Sunday or game. Just ask the Packers who just lost to a 0=7 team.

The weather can be pleasent in both April and October and it can be downright nasty cold. There could be some heavy jacket and glove days at the new ballpark. It will be nice to be outside though.

Here are some stats.....

April min-max-avg temps.

October min-max-avg temps.

I can't believe people are still complaining about the weather! It's embarrassing that these people call themselves Minnesotans. You know, us people who go fishing when it's 7 degrees out. Or the same people who eat fried food at the Fair when it's 100 with 90% humidity. It's all relative people. Is 50 degrees and overcast ideal baseball weather? No, but I'm sure we'll manage. After all baseball has in the north for over 100 years.

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Sagittarius

You'll feel friendly with everyone you meet today, and you might even be lucky financially. Money should be coming in, but going out rather fast as well... Astral influences will keep you on your toes, and will probably make you flirtatious, but they could also make you moody. This makes it tricky for close relationships to run on an even keel. The truth is, perhaps you don't want too much closeness at the moment. Your partner probably knows that you're often like this, by now, anyway.
