I have about 2500 songs, 300 pictures, 14 video/movies on my i-pod, but with this latest round of entering my CD's to itunes, my album artwork is messed up. It's not on all songs. For example I have 3 John Mayer albums imported all the artwork looks great on itunes. I synced my ipod,, but 5 songs have various other artist artwork showing when I'm listening to John.
Help!

I've had the same problem. I'm wondering if it has to do with pasting the art into the Now Playing box on the lower left rather than directly into the Get Info interface?

OK. I looked around and here's what I found. Follow these 8 simple steps. 1. Plug you iPod into your computer and open iTunes. 2. In iTunes, goto Edit -> Preferences -> iPod 3. Deselect “Display album artwork on your iPod”-> close the properties window. 4. Your iPod will update. So wait (should take a few seconds). 5. Repeat step “2″ 6. Select “Display album artwork on your iPod”-> close the properties window. 7. Your iPod will update. So wait (may take a minute or two). 8. Tada! Your iPod should be back to its original greatness. …worked like a charm. Aparrently, the issues arises because of disconnecting your iPod from the computer while the iPod’s screen says ‘Do Not Disconnect’. Maybe I’ll be more apt to follow the iPod rules from now on (probably not).

I tried looking for “Display album artwork on your iPod” in the tabs that are there and I cant find that either :(... please help ... the only tabs listed are: General .. Playback .. Sharing .. Store .. Parental Control .. Apple TV .. Devices .. Advanced --- PLEASE HELP!!

I has the same problem but I couldn't find "ipod" under preferences either. This did work for me: 0:copy whatever artwork you wan 1: select all the music that uses the same album art 2:right click- get info- yes you want info for multiple items (if it asks you) 3:beside where you put the art(bottom right)check the box but don't put any thing in the big box 4:click ok- let it do what it does 5:sync your ipod 6:do steps 1 and 2 7:paste artwork in artwork bow(near bottom right) 8:click ok-let it do what it does 9:sync again and it should work
the only thing is it takes a while because you have to do each picture separately
hope this helps!

I tried everything people said, but this is what worked: 1. Right click on the song that is not displaying album art correctly. 2. Go to 'Get Info' 3. Go to the last tab, Album Art 4. Click on the current album art (even if it's the one it's supposed to be) and add it to your pictures (you will need to do that) 5. Delete the current album art, with the 'delete' button 6. Select,'Add' and put in the correct album art. 7. Make it the biggest possible, with the slider bar 8. Hit, Ok, and then sync your iPod. If it does not say,'Updating, whichever song' where the songs play, etc, then it didn't work.
