Ipod got wet and wont turn on

Knock on the back of it, that's what I did and it works perfectly now

My ipod was in the washing machine and got wet and stoped working take it to the Apple store and you will get a new one for free.

PS.if you have a cracked screen
also take it to the apple store.

man that suks I gave it tu my sis and her son got it and threw to the toilet man I'm pissed ..... wwhhyy me !! im going tu Glendale mall tu the apple store and see wat they can do

You washed your iPod with soap? Smh....

if i were you guys i would listen to "this is it getting annoying" because when my friend dropped his ipod in the water he put it in a bag of rice for like 2-3hrs... and WORKS!!

This is my second in less than 2weeks...It turns on but the light is super dark also please pray for me... My mom said she will never buy me another one and it fell in the toliet but i hope it works:(

1. Flick the top switch on and off, then back on. 2. Then press and hold center and menu button for 5 secs and it will turn on. Mine went through the washing machine and now works after this trick.

Hey I have just found my Ipod, after a day of searching for it in a moist towel, and it won't turn on. Also I found These tips:
1.DO NOT TURN IT ON,CHARGE IT, OR EVEN PLUG IT INTO YOUR COMPUTER
2.IF YOU DO TURN IT ON hold the power button till its completly off
3.Shake and blow out any fluids, unplug and take off any thing on or in it (headphones, Ipod cover, etc.) or even suck out the fluids.
4.Place it right side up on your tv, dryer,(for a day or two,but make sure the surface of the tv/dryer isn't too hot),or you can even put it in rice for a day or blow dry it on LOW (NEVER USE HOT).

I was at the gym and had my ipod somehow in my hands,obviously sweat or something got in under the screen cause there are marks of water it appears. and the ipod is locked (picture of lock on corner says it is) but its not. Cant listen to music or press any buttons on it, but it lights up when I connect to my computer. I've tried doing that hold in this and that button, shit doesnt work, have heard about putting it in a bag of rice for a week but that sounds fucking stupid and also people tell that you've pretty much fucked everything up if you've turned on the device after its been wet.

My iPod Nano got a few drops of sweet on it. I wore it on a wrist band while exercizing. Does not come on and when I plug into the charger gets very hot. Pretty said if you can't get a drop of sweet on it. Sounds like a class action.

This has also happened to me. I left it outside and it poured with rain over night. I have no idea what to do its quite bad. But i have heard from friends that you can put it in a bowl of uncooked rice. Leave it in for at least 4 days. if this doesn't work See if the cellphone doctor will take IPods. If They don't then buy a new one or take it back to The Apple Store.
