Ipod got wet and wont turn on

My ipod recently got wet in the terrential rain and it now wont turn on at all, theres is absolutely nothing appearing on the screen. My dock will not recognize it and it isnt recognised by my laptop.
I was just wondering if anyone had had the same problem and knows if it could possibly be fixed or if i would be needing to buy a new one.

i have the same problem, mine got wet and now it wont turn on. try putting it above a radiator for a bit. my laptop has a fit if i plug it in.

i got mine wet and it worked, but the backlight didnt turn on, so i used it on shuffle for a few weeks. It stopped working after a while and now it has been several weeks since it has worked.
will apple still exchange for a new one?

mine got washed in a washing machine and now it wont turn on i tryed restarting but nothin happend

try pressing menu/select when it has dried out. hold for 10seconds. same as control/alt/delete on pc. good luck

what ipods do you have i have an ipod touch i hav horses and things and i hav got it wet and muddy so many times and it hasent complitely stopped working. Like 2times it froze, so i had to turn the power off, but most times its fine

I asked my Dad about this one, hes a trained technician.and he suggested Rebooting the system of your iPod, to do this you press the center button located in the middle of the wheel and the menu button, hold this position for approx 30 seconds. If that fails you could buy a new battery as the old one may be corrupted.
You can but a simple 2cm x 1cm battery at local electric stores or from eBay.

my ipod got wet with dirty muddy water but it still worked after that happened. When i cleaned carefully with soap, that's when it stopped working. WHAT CAN I DO?

i just dropped mine on accicdent in a pool:( i take full responsabillity. When it happened i turned it on without thinking and now it's in a bag of rice underneath my dresser im still hoping it will work even after i turned it on before it dried out but im impatient and i keep messing with it so does my mother so i think im screwed what do you guys think? is there still hope?

My ipod is now playing but the thing is that the screen lights up but it's blank. And its on shuffle. So. I don't know..

I turned mine on and it work for a few minutes now it won't work. It went through the washing machine! I read on a few websites that you're not supposed to turn it on after it gets wet and I'm scared! I LOVE my ipod.:( please help me!

mine works perfectly it just took a couple of weeks im really happy but its just to show how technology dependent i am

my ipod wouldnt come on either i tried the holdin menue and middle button thing but it didnt work i even tried banging it and it didnt help either could some1 help?????

try using your blow drier if u hav 1 but dont put it on high just at low it works try it!!!!!!
