Ok so I was over at a friends house and we plugged my iPod Nano into his computer because one of our friends installed the software onto his computer. Now he had to restart his computer with the iPod still plugged in. But it was still working after that but after we safely removed the hardware it started flashing the apple icon over and over again. So does anyone know what I do?

Hi,
I have an iPod nano 2Gb. Supposed to hold 500 songs, this isnt the case. The maximum amount of songs i can ever put on is 145, and if i try to put anymore songs on there, it says the ipod is full. That is without any photos on there.
I have removed all of my songs from my iPod so there arent any songs or photos. However, iTunes which i have on my computer, says that i have 1.17Gb in use, even though i have taken everything off of my iPod, Please can someone help me? Does anyone know why this is happening?
I have researched on the internet about it, and it seems that i am not the only one with this problem.
Your help would be very much appreciated.
Many thanks

Joanne,
It is suposed to hold 500 4 minute songs. So that might why you are only hold 145 songs. But the part about it saying that you have only 1.17 gb used up.. I'm not so sure what the deal is with that. I hope that part above may help some how though.

Just becasue it says you can hold 500 that doesnt mean that you will have exacly 500, and all the songs on your ipod are prob;y really long. And if you put the songs on wrong then it will take up more memory. this same thing happend to me and i had my friend check it out. he told me the same thing, just erase all your songs and reput everything on there. but make sure that when you put the music on there that you click the song and drag it over and drop it on the icon brings up all you ipod stuff, it should say like " Johns ipod

Seems to me apple are out to rip ya! If you send your nano2b repaired and they tell you its a cracked screen and isnt under their warrenty etc never give up on them I opened my own nano and seen it was just a loose battery connection that i fixed mysel. Needless to say I sent them a nice letter outlining what I thought of their stupid service!

AFTER PURCHASING A 4 GB NANO, A FRIEND WENT INTO CIRCUIT CITY TO GET ONE, AND WAS TOLD BY A SALESMAN THAT THEY "DON'T LAST" AND STRONGLY ADVISED HER AGAINST PURCHASING ONE.

IS THIS TRUE? ARE THERE BUGS? WHAT ARE OTHER SPECIFIC PROGRAMS, OTHER THAN A SCRATCHED SCREEN?

I had the same hassle as DoubleL with my Nano shuffling through every song and then turning off. Ic ouldn't find how to fix it and ended up going with www.ukapplecare.com who sorted it out for me as I was still within warranty. There's a few sites out there but I found these guys pretty helpful on the phone. Hope this is off uses to someone

Hi!

Okay - I have a HUGE dillema here! I hooked my iPOD nano up with the USB chord and all nice aand safe to let it charge because it ran out of juice in the middle of a song. I removed it all ok and whatnot. But here's the problem; it won't respond... AT ALL!I tried to hook it back up, and here's what happens:

On my tool bar @ the bottom of the screen, a little icon pops up (as it should always do) to tell me it's connected. BUT! But, the iTunes window doesn't say it's connected and the iPOD nano doesn't charge or anything!!!!

HELP!!!!!!!!!
