Second hand ipod

i bought an ipod of a friend but when it come sup on my pc it still says the name of the previous owner.

does anyone know or hav any ideas on how to change this????

I bought an iPOD photo and was able to change the name. It seems there are two ways. With iPOD updater, you cna wipe it clean and at that time change the name. or when using iTunes, where it has the name listed on the left side, right click and change it there.

OKyou have to double click the name it would flash then press back and then put your name down

Your friend needs to do what is called a "restore" or "update" to erase all the songs, and stuff that is already on the ipod. This returns the ipod to it's factory settings so it can be erased or given to a friend. The website explains how to download the program and run it. If you want to keep all the songs and stuff, then your stuck with the name.

I have a second hand ipod with lots of music already on it but my pc doesn't have the ipod software. I try to download it online but it wants to upgrade the ipod and will erase & restore it trashing everything on the ipod!! HELP

My friend william kutschinski smuggled an ipod into jail in his rectum. It broke while he was running - so once he got out and back to CT he sold the damaged ipod nano on ebay - really nuts - he got like $65 for it and 9 people bid on it. That 9th winner wasn't a winner at all. And it was in his butt! Moral - be careful what you buy on ebay.

there is hardly any thing on ebay dat has got some thing wrong with it that is a load of shit!!!!

The best place for second hand ipods is ebay... i buy all the ipod parts i need on there... its alot cheaper than going to a supplier!!

download itunes from th itunes website then it should let you, if you have already just click the button on itunes (when ipods plugged in) saying return to default and it should wipe it clear for you to satrt over.
