cannot sync--required folder not found

idk if you have found a solution yet but i recently had the EXACT same problem. I found out that if you plug your iPod into your computer and right click on and click format, it will erase everything on there but restart your computer after its done. then plug you iPod in and you will have to re-name it and everything but it will re-sync all of your music and your problem is solved and you have all of your music and things still.

I found this in another topic. Seems to have worked for most people. Not for me, so please still help!

At first I had the same problem with my 80GB iPod Classic which was that my iTunes would freeze everytime I connected it but I tried the obove and my iTunes recognized it. It is a big step I am so releived.

this did not help me at all i can't lunch itune at all.

Switching USB ports worked for me! First it was connected to one of those "distributors" where you can connect many devices to one USB port. When I connected it directly to the computer it started working, with the new iTunes version and a pretty old iPod.

Hey.. thank you soo much after weeks of trouble i could now sync my Ipod!!:D

I tried quickly clicking on the ipod section as it came up on screen and enabled disk use and it worked fine

For me it was a bad USB connection. It kept dropping out during the synch. New lead, sorted.

Dumbasses, this is where the whole "if it ain't broke don't fix it" thing comes from. Your previous versions worked just fine, why upgrade? I've been running the same version of itunes since I got my ipod a year ago and it's tried to get me to update like 50 times.
