Sync problems - iPod Nano

My iPod wasn't working right so I restored it to its factory settings. When I restored it, it deleted all my songs from my iPod, but not my library which I knew was going to happen. My problem is that I tried to sync it with my library after I restored it, and it said that it synced my songs to my iPod but when I ejected it from the computer the memory which was 3.1 gigabytes was taken up from the songs, but there is no trace of my songs. I go to music and it says zero songs, and everywhere else it says zero podcasts, zero videos, and zero photos. Like I said the memory is taken up, but there is nothing. I am logged in to the iTunes store, so i don't know what the problem is. Does my computer have to be authorized or what but when I try to authorize my computer it says there was a problem. It is really starting to make me mad so please help.

When i connect my ipod to change my song. it was no sync and automatically disconnect.

and for people who's ipods wont sync anything to their ipod.. ive also had the same problem its generally because the file your trying to put on is "bad" just redownload or right click the file and convert the file to an mp3.. it generally works. OR you can delete the song your trying to sync out of itunes.. then plug your ipod in, and if it shows up then add the song when its syncing and then sync it again.. it worked for me, it might work for you.

Well i have a 2nd generation 2gb ipod i put it in my laptop and a menu wont even come up on the screen can someone please tell me what to do i hav old music and i have listened to it maybe 1,000 times not kidden please help

When i plug in my ipod nano 4gb it charges, and lets me put songs on but it says that an "unknown error" has occured and that it cant synch. Then wen i take it out the songs dont show up on my ipod.

I have an Nano, generation four or five, i reset the settings and then updated it because me ipod wasnt working well... anyway... after i did that, only 200 of my 1100 songs would sync to my ipod. D: what do i do to get it beck? D:

Register you iPod Nano. Add iPod name etc. etc.

Your iPod Nano should now start syncing.

If you have synced before and you plug your iPod in and it suddenly doesn't want to sync and you have no message prompts from your computer this is the solution. Reset your iPod, once it resets it will sync. Thank you Philip!
