Dell pulled a bait and switch on the promise of free upgrade to Windows 7. I purchased a Dell 1545 on Sept. 20, and just found out that it is not eligible for the free upgrade to Windows 7. I specifically ordered this with the upgrade in mind, noting on the order confirmation email they sent that it was "Eligible for Free Windows 7 Upgrade!". Now they are saying that the Vista Home Basic systems are not eligible. The promo literature they sent was littered with free upgrade to Windows 7 Upgrade. Bait and Switch. I've contacted the OH attorney general.
