I'd imagine that approval from the bishopric wouldn't be sufficient for something this big. They'd need to hear from Salt Lake City before production could ever start on such a series. Either that or their church court excommunication hearing will be forthcoming.

Actually after reading the entire article I've got a bit more to say:

1. He's probably related to the other Kimball -- as in the late profit Spencer W.-- so of course SLC is all over this new opportunity to showcase their corporate propaganda disguised as religion in yet another package. He's also big friends with the Marriotts.'Nuff said.

2. It's good that they are airing this weekly corporate puff piece on Thursday night - my usual travel night - so I don't have to worry about accidentally catching it. As for reality series, I'd much rather watch the Roloffs (Little People, Big World), or my own Big Three on A&E: Intervention, Parking Wars, and Hoarders.
