Clerks confused over when gay marriage ban begins

County officials throughout California are clamoring for legal advice over how to interpret last week's passage of a ballot initiative to ban gay marriage, saying there's confusion over when it takes effect.

We dont want any more gay, queer,lesbo or homo weddings. Get a grip on yourselves,maybe back to the closet were you wont be seen by our children thankyou!

Isn't it interesting that the majority of the pro-Prop 8 comments have poor spelling and/or grammar? Our rights are being taken away by ignoramuses and illiterates -- what a surprise.

LA clerks are always confused. Doesn't matter what the issue is. They're government employees, confusion is normal for them.
