Well, these are ALONSO'S words, not mine. For those who do not understand spanish, he ends up by saying "(...) they [McLaren] always gave me the same chances to win".

By the way, it was also very sad that as soon as the brasilian GP was almost over, the spanish TV and radio comentators started saying that "Hamilton is a great pilot", "had shown a lot of spirit, never giving up", and other lame half-hearted admissions that they had been biased towards Alonso.
I think it is high time people admit that Alonso had a lousy year, with more problems than he had in Renault the previous year. A difficult year, with a lot of mistakes and unexpected problems.
Very much like 2005, when exactly the same happened to 7-time (SEVEN) champion Michael Schumacher. I do not like the guy, but at least he did not start blubbering that he was being sabotaged by Ferrari, for not being able to easily beat an unknown young driver, who had it easy that year. He tried to get his title back the following year, and although the young driver did have a lot of trouble to keep the title, he managed to do it. So Shumacher decided to retire. Does anybody remember any complaints of "Schumi is being sabotaged", or of "Ferrari favoring Massa" when Massa did better on the race (it happened a couple of times)?
I'm not saying that everything is lilly-white and perfect, but I have to repeat that nobody is crazy enough to risk everything on an untested driver, having the current champ available. Unless he champ gives reason to do it.
To finish, just a question: what's that portuguese issue? The portuguese do not have a F1 driver this year...

"nobody is crazy enough to risk everything on an untested driver, having the current champ available".
But that is what they did!!!! Remember "We were racing Fernando"?
And Hamilton is not only "an untested driver", he has been nurtured from the age of 13, he is their big investment and he is almost Ron's son. It is not like they grabbed someone out there somewhere who they know nothing about and let him drive their car.

So, Alonso is supposed to "be brave enough" to say what he did when it would cause unrest in the team - expecting to gain favour to his side -, but not enough to say it when he is leaving? Or is he immature enough to say it when he should have kept his mouth shut and think?
As for the "nurtured driver", Alonso did not sprout "out of the blue" either. Most successful F1 driver invested their lives into getting there since they were little kids. And THEN somebody noticed them and hired them. But until they start showing their mettle, nobody thinks of them as a "safe bet". So, as of this year Hamilton WAS an untested driver.
And probably would have been doing exactly what Massa has been doing in Ferrari for a number of years, if not for him doing his job well (nobody CAN deny that - remember, even IF the "conspiracy theory" was right, he still would have had to face Ferrari's boys, which he did successfully), AND Alonso throwing a tantrum has soon has he saw he was behind the rookie! Which is why he ended up not having his own team's simpathy: "Yeah, right: we're working for this spoiled brat, who blames and acuses us of sabotage each and everytime he has trouble. Let us all give him a big cheer for mudding us!"
I've NEVER been on THAT planet. Honest! Ever.
If it had been me, if the sponsors would allow me I would have fired the stupid git, and make sure the other driver would get the best support I could give him. If only to show the whinning twit HOW FAR he could have done, had he been a team player.
And will hear Alonso dirtying McLaren as much as he did Renault: a lot of crap while he was IN the team, and kept his mouth shut as soon as he left.
Why did he complain so bitterly of Renault while he was in the team, and stopped as soon as he left? He would not gain from it anymore.
It will be interesting watching him next season, if he goes to Renault. He will not be able to refrain himself from doing the same circus if he has trouble, and will try his best to "downsize" the other pilot. Just as Piquet was not able from keeping from making malicious alegations on his fellow drivers. And if Alonso goes to Renault with Piquet's kid, we will have an sideshow of the races which will eb quite funny.
