Go Fernando Go wrote: <quoted text>But Pirelli will bring the hard tyre to Silverstone Nicole!.You see.Ferrari only has a certain amount of power and it would be naive to think that other teams like Red Bull with Mateziches billions of dollars,McLaren and Renault don't have a say. <quoted text>The FIA banned Ferraris new rear wing before the race in Barcelona and that was the worst race by far for Ferrari this year when Alonso got lapped despite taking the lead for 20+ laps because of his amazing qualifying effort and start to the race. <quoted text>It's impossible for the FIA to give all teams equal technology my dear.Teams have always copied the succesfull designs of other cars but the successfull innovators will always get a head start. Aerodynamics in F1 has just reached the ridiculously expensive peak that threatens to destroy the sport itself if The FIA doesn't rule wisely in which direction the F1 technologies should take.Blown Diffusors and off throtle engine mapping are absolutely useless technologies to the car industry and are ridiculously expensive to develope.FIA is choosing to move back in the direction where F1 technology can be applied to the car industry with more efficient power trains and energy recovery. I think the aerodynamic regulations should be limited alot more with much smaller front and rear wings and diffuser.Good that useless off throtle engine mapping which is completely related to diffuser aerodynamic downforce is being banned. It's a useless technical Cul-de-sac. I'd like to see more engine developement again with the new Turbo/Hybrid powertrains coming or even before that with the current V8's!! Spend Squillions on engine developement instead of squillions on Silly aerodynamic games that are useless to the car industry! <quoted text>I totally agree.Sooner or later Vettel will find himself in a car that isn't the best on the grid.No one driver can have the best car forever, although Vettel has done an outstanding job in his finite time of having the best car! Then you see drivers like Alonso who has perhaps done a better job when driving a car that doesn't have the best aerodynamic performance. I'11 be damned......coming from you G, a well thought out post! Will wonders never cease!

Hell.....if they had testing, and it was televised, I'd also watch that!
