Aerodynamics in F1 has just reached the ridiculously expensive peak that threatens to destroy the sport itself if The FIA doesn't rule wisely in which direction the F1 technologies should take.Blown Diffusors and off throtle engine mapping are absolutely useless technologies to the car industry and are ridiculously expensive to develope.FIA is choosing to move back in the direction where F1 technology can be applied to the car industry with more efficient power trains and energy recovery.
I think the aerodynamic regulations should be limited alot more with much smaller front and rear wings and diffuser.Good that useless off throtle engine mapping which is completely related to diffuser aerodynamic downforce is being banned.It's a useless technical Cul-de-sac.
I'd like to see more engine developement again with the new Turbo/Hybrid powertrains coming or even before that with the current V8's!! Spend Squillions on engine developement instead of squillions on Silly aerodynamic games that are useless to the car industry!
