Icegirl wrote: <quoted text> Lol, David you are right, he has a passion for cars and has his own garage where he loves to fix cars, although I suspect it doesn't fit his 'position' ;) What a joke, I'm sure if he would have understood it, then he wouldn't have stopped laughing ;) A dear friend of mine who is one of the few in the 'real' tibetan-buddhist school in Finland, he also laughed at the joke when I told it to him yesterday. There's a really small school here in Finland, they have a Lama from Tibet who teaches them - and from what I heard he throws immediately out all the wannabees, lol. That's why it's so small. One thing about Dalai Lama, they have this tradition where no other monk can ever be higher than Dalai Lama physically, that's why you see them go on their knees when he walks by and if he is sitting in a chair, then they have to crawl if they bring him something or otherwise have to approach him. It looks kind of comical ;) This guy however always meets Dalai Lama in person when he comes to Finland after Dalai Lama is over with the public appearances. He comes to teach this small group for a few hours and according to this guy Dalai Lama says right in the beginning that he will not have any bowing from them, it's only in public that he has to follow the 'traditions'. But he is a funny guy, what a shame he didn't get the joke ;) Whoa!!! What a disappointment that even in Australia they have these politicians who 'can't' meet him *rolling my eyes* Oh well, they are the petty ones then :( In Finland he was also ignored officially but the politicians sat in the audience when he spoke - as normal citizens, not as politicians. Hey, I didn't see the Peter Garrett -thing, can you explain it to me in words? He met Dalai Lama? I wonder if Dalai Lama is also into F1? I guess nobody ever asked him... I wouldn't be surprised if he would be a F1-fan, lol. Yes the Dalai Lama is an Alonso fan.Even Ron Dennis said that Alonso was the least materialistic driver he had ever known!! and you see examples of this like Alonso moving away from Switzerland back to Spain even though it means Alonso will pay an extra 50 million Euro in taxes! and the way he donated money won in a court case to Unicef. only joking about Dalai Lama again:)).Not Alonso! I think the Dalai Lama understood the pizza joke.Didn't he say "it's impossible" (to be made one with everthing by someone else)lol he is funny. I didn't see any Videos of Petter Garrett meeting DL.That would be interesting because Garrett is such a radical with strong views about everthing since he was a Rock Star aswell as a Lawyer! He always campaigned for Aboriginals and the environment,He was even the president of Greenpeace Australia many years ago as well as leader of other green groups.A complete smart aleck that found another passion in politics and was voted into the Labour Party!! lol

Leave the Lewy Boy alone now my son..He will learn his lesson in time and it may cure his premature ejaculations when trying to overtake and when opening his mouth to speak. In the meantime we get the pleasure of watching the clown in the circus. Observe the Formula of One my son and learn like the Buddha and Dalai Lama do to become One with the One Formula

When finishing that circle the same happens again - higher and higher. What a brilliant function to keep us all humble, huh? lol

I feel I will reach the next Level when my ego catches up to the grand size of my humility...:))

Hei Whirly Girl.Did you know that ego tends to come after Humility and not the other way around??? Surprising it may be for you Whirly Girl but it's true.Ofcourse Humilty can come after ego aswell but that is usually 12 times slower than ego taking over from Humility. In the enless circle, Ego always takes over when Humility runs it's full course and has nowhere else to go.....:)))
Have a nice day:))

You are good, babe!!!
Still... after mastering your ego, not by killing it, by giving it less significance - that's when the light of humility enters - but you might be right, it's like asking which one came first, the chicken or the egg ;)
The final battle is won when the ego realises it's non-importance, that it can be deleted and wiped out because life will go on and life is bigger than the ego.
Where is our Buddha? He should know about the feeling of selflessness if he is what he says he is ;)
This is fun, lol
Have a nice day you too ;)

Be sure that I fully acknowledge that Humility is just as important as ego in a well functioning human fassion. It's a case of having a balance between the 2 opposites because one cannot function for very long without either of the opposite functions working together but not necessarily simultaneously. But then if you have balance...the next thing that comes is passion, just like ego takes over where humility ran it's full course round and around again forever more.. I was never a fan of this Aussie band "Skyhooks" from the 1970's but this song does contain some truth about the "ego" lol.Hope you enjoy it! http://www.youtube.com/watch...
