Please wait...
Great column Mr. Hyde! If only more fans would react AFTER some careful thought and deliberation. Here's a thought... Why don't we wait until after free agency and the draft to abandon all hope. I think the move was the right one. My belief is that he was told early on that he would not be back, and given plenty of lead time to prepare for his last stop. Rebuilding has begun, and I'm all for it. The quick fix last year was a disaster. Bring on free agency and the draft baby!!!

So should Giants fans have hoped for Michael Strahan to go elsewhere three years ago when they were coming off a 4-12 season and had a new coach?
To hope Jason Taylor goes elsewhere is uninformative and silly. He has 3-4 years left of good football and that is more than enough time to turn this franchise around. Look at the Giants and the Panthers (1-15, Super Bowl two years later). It can be done. Let's let Jason be a part of it.
Enough of this talk already.

Can you say "LOYALTY", no, there is none these days, that's why 17-0 will remain 17-0!!!

I disagree with the way in which the Dolphins handled Zach's dismissal - cold - they could have thanked him, released him with the same class with which he carried himself for 12 years with the Fins - the Fins just have no class,'just a business' my a*$$, how hard would it have been for them to say "thanks and good luck?"

If he goes to the Patriots he will look young again with all the hgh their players are using. It was the right move for the team.Time to get a fullsized MLB who can run with a tight end.-Something Thomas cant do.

Good article, Dave. As I look up at my framed, autographed 54 jersey on the wall, it doesn't seem real. But it is...we keep moving forward.
I heard the Cowboys have an interest in Zach. I'd love to see him there...or the Colts. Please, God, not the Patsies.
Agree about Wayne not making a public statement. At least Danny and Don have roads named after them.
Wherever Zach goes, I wish him a Ring. But he'll always be a Miami Dolphin to me, and deserves a place on the ring of honor, if not the Hall of Fame. He played the game the likes of Lombardi would gush over. No doubt, before he retires, Zach will sign for a day to retire as a Dolphin.
A very bittersweet day for Dolphins fans...

I guess Zach saw the writing on the wall when he removed his parking place sign. His brain appears to be still working!

Zach can bring another year of good linebacking to someone if he stays healthy. I always enjoyed his intensity, appreciated his preparation, and his desire to win. If Zach plays again I hope he does get his shot at going deep into the playoff with ABP (anyone but patriots). I personally hope he hangs it up for good health and a his rightful place in the hall of fame.

Thanks Zach for many years of big plays and big hits. I hope you get a shot at the Super Bowl with a contender, much like my other favorite (Welker) did. It is unfortunately the smart business move at this point. I do agree that it could have been done better and that Huizenga owes Zach a public "thank you" and the fans an explanation.

He has been a dedicated player throughout the mess and the way he was released was disrespectful. I should have known it would be a Gator fan who wrote the stupid remark.
