But you'r right that this is a bad situation for both JT and the dolphins!
The situations are not different. Neither ZT nor JT want to play for this pathetic franchise. Nor does any decent player that has a choice. I mean...you dont see any Pats players coming to the Dolphins do ya?? HAHA

I was impressed how Taylor handled this interview. He seemed genuine and honest. Jason Taylor is doing the right thing for him. The Dolphins organization needs to make a statement to him on whether they want him back, and If so, lets just play football. The man has a life and he has given us a lot to cheer for... Lets not get too caught up in the here-and-now and forget the big picture... And oh, by the way... lets win some games this year.... Like 10+

fairweathered fan would have meant I would no longer cheer for the dolphins because they aren't winning... I am cheering on the dolphins, and I love JT, but if he doesn't want to play here, so be it...why should I or BP or anyone else kiss his a55?
JT wants to think about life after football? do it from Jan through april...not during workouts...voluntary or not! He made that commitment to the tv show fine...why didn't he come back to workouts once it was done?
Way to go Observant! What is about these Botards that think because you don't live in the immediate area you can't be a true fan. I had season tickets for the Fins their first 11 seasons - I'll always be a fan win or lose. Even made the trip down for Dan Marino's retirement night - even though I thought he hung on 2 or 3 years too long.

So you clowns that judge a person by their ISP need to get a life! As far as Section 408 is concerned - just remove the 40 and your aptly named.

Jason Taylor has been a fantastic team and community leader. Understandably he needs to think of his future but it's going to be difficult to watch the Fins play this year if he is traded. No JT, No Zack. They have been the heart and soul of this team for many years.

Hyde writes crap most of the time..
He must work cheap or they would have blown him out long ago..
But in respect to Hyde, even a broken clock is right twice a day..Ha Ha
I have posted this before and repeat again..
When Whino Wayne and crew want to fire a player, they could not care less how that player will earn another dime..It is good bye, see ya..
Wayne deals in bad faith..
Now when a player wants to explore his options, Whoa!! thats no good. Whino and crew, and certain posters start whining..
Jason must do what is in HIS best interest, and familys interest as well.
Jason is doing what is good for him..It is nice to finally see the boo birds that post on this site ahut up, and in fact swing over to Jasons side..
Bunch of phonies here...

If JT goes we will get over it. Ive seen most of my all-time favorite players come and go for the past 40 years and Im still here. I think Czonka & Kiick hurt the worst, and we havent won a superbowl since, but hey, life goes on and we will win again...GO PHINS!!!

Agreed, Wayne's a pathetic excuse for an owner. As far as Jason, he said he'd like to be traded to a contender, but that he will play this year even if it is for the Fins. So, the ball is in BP's hands whether he wants Jason for his last year, or does a trade for a low draft pick.

The Dolphins should thank their lucky stars that JT was dancing with the stars.
It was some positive publicity for a team that couldn't have had worse during the season.
It reminded people that he was NFL man of the year.
If you believe one report, permission was given for the appearance before Tuna came.
They should be glad he made it to the finals, let him have his final round of talk show appearances and asked him to come in as soon as he returned.
Otherwise, all anyone would think of regarding the team was how bad they were last year.
This diffused the bad for a bit.
Sounds like Tuna's just upset that he got upstaged.
This was a once-in-a-lifetime chance and JT is not the player to make an example of.

I think has proven to us , the true Dolphin fans that he is a well respected person, who does things the right way. Most people just want to pit the good verus the bad. But Jason is being honest. As much as I would love him to be here next year and retire as a Dolphon, if he needs to leave then I hope he gets a ring.

Thanks for reporting this article. It was a very solid opinion that favors Taylor in a good light. I believe that is something we need to do and embrace Taylor like he has to us fans. Whether the situation has gotten out of hand, it has not stemmed from Taylor. This is on Parcells and Sparano. Addition to that Taylor still remains positive and has love for Miami and the Dolphins. He's right though, Thomas should have not been released. You don't do that to legacy players, especially if they have another year or two left in the gas tank. Thanks again Dave!

There are too many comments to even care, but Dave...you and "Fred" who everyone is jumping on the bandwagon with couldn't be farther from the truth. Its those of YOU who have no clue about building a GOOD program and resurecting this frachise from the bowels of Jet land.(he11)

If those of you JT apologists don't see the logic of a NEW regime establishing a NEW system and NEW attitude, and EXPECTING it's "team leader" to be there for EVERYTHING...then you need only look in the mirror while you're trying to figure out why this team has gone soft and can't compete anymore. Comparing this to Strahan is REDICULOUS. Strahan isn't the best player on that D anymore...Osi is. Eli is the "team leader" now.

When you're truly LEADING by example...you go above and beyond. Has JT done that in the past? Absolutely. Is he doing it now? Not even close.

Open your eyes guys...and think of the franchise first. I guarantee you the Tuna is. And JT sure as he11 isn't.

Amen Dave!

I've seen so many people predicting what JT will do. All he's done is handle himself like he always does - like a good man.

I think this has proven to us, the true dolphin fans, that we would like JT to come back, but if he doesn't, we hope the dolphins get good value for him and they become a winning team again...that, as a true dolphin fan, is what I'm concerned with!

Daily Horoscope for June 2

Aries

It won't be long before you start to feel bored today, unless you can distract yourself - you're switching from one activity to another. Ideally, you should keep yourself amused by doing something that's unusual or challenging, otherwise you'll be tempted to stir up trouble just to see what happens next! Even though you know that's a bad idea, you won't be able to resist, unless you've got something better to do with your time.
