Dave, Dave, Dave,

Mike from seattle had made two posts yesterday, one in yours and one in Mclures. You know what Dave, he was right! Within hours Kirk Barton was snagged by Miami and signed a one year contract. Has it occurred to anyone or has anyone noticed how quickly other teams sign our draft pick cuts. It tells me one thing; Chicago really isn't that good at evaluating future prospects! They sign a person who admits not playing nowhere near fifty percent and its the only time you see Lovie cracking a joke about fred's comments. Was fred signed to be the locker room clown for these guys or did they need another garbage can in the room? By that move they committed with Barton seems that chicago is not to concerned about its future. Chicago's problem was that they didn't want to pay for talented veteran lineman and pay them as such. Instead they delve around city dumps and find relics of lineman who can't play. Mike is right about that. That transaction they made with miller was a joke.

Oh boy: Fred Miller stays, and cut Kirk Barton! That's pretty close to dealing Chris Harris off to get Adam Archuletta. Thanks, Jerry.

And speaking of Chris Harris, Danieal Manning isn't quite up to his caliber yet. Thanks, Jerry.

Still, I'll give Lovie and Bob Babich mucho credit for beating the Colts. I didn't think they could, and the Bears whupped 'em. Congrats to you!!

i actually love dusty d ever since i first saw him play on da bears, he's one of those guys scouts say has a non stop "motor". he reminds me of the tazmanian devil on how he's always moving, pushing, trying to get through. very good compliment to tommie harris. but, yet another guy that stresses us fans out because he's a "when healthy" kind of player. don't know about anybody else but to me, the fact that nobody got seriously hurt seems to be just as important as the win column on monday morning with da bears...

by the way thomasrules, the pats signed leon joe and i believe they cut him quickly too. same with david terrell(remember, the no talent TO?) i think it's basically the same throughout the league with all teams, and honestly...i'd just be thankful our picks are actually playing in the nfl cuz it seems like the high profile ones...aren't. nobody but McD's rushed out to sign Benson...

I still don't think the Miller signing was all that bad. He is only a backup and with John Tait's nagging hamstring you need a veteran in case he goes down. The Bears are playing for the now and banking on a rookie that was a 7th round pick is just not a good idea. As far as Willie Anderson the Bears are already paying John Tait and Chris Williams big bucks. You would end up with a 3 million dollar backup which makes no sense!! Miller knows the offense, signed for the minimum, and might not even see the field. I look at this move like the Ken Griffey to Sox deal, won't help much but won't hurt either!!!

Love the article about Dusty Dvoracek!!! If he stays healthy him and Tommie Harris can be one of the best DT tandems in the league. You will hear Dvoracek name alot this Sunday and all season if he stays healthy. With Tommie Harris drawing double teams this guy can put up All Pro numbers!! Numbers don't lie, last year with Dusty LT is held to like 25 yards rushing, this year Addai held to 44 yards. Dusty makes the run defense alot better!!

I agree. Dusty is that good. And I can't wait to see how good he gets. The Barton cut wasn't that bad of an idea IMO. I think Miami picked him up because they need guys. At least they got a guy who impressed during somebody's training camp rather going to pick up and over price veteran.
And good point about the defense. I also noticed that our defense blitzed a lot less and played off the line a lot less after Mike Brown went down. Having a good safety that can cover allows you to do a lot of things. I'm looking for a lot more pressure this week.
Daniel, Daniel, Daniel.... This guy is loaded with athletic ability. I really think that with his speed, he would make a good safety. I hope they don't cut him. Because another team will grab him, put him at one position, and he will blossom. We've moved him around too much here.

For a guy to have dropped as many passes as Muhammed dropped, to talk any kind of smack is almost unbelievable. However, it's tough for some people to realize the truth i suppose. Letting Barton go for Fred Miller was another foolish Angelo move. Miller's proved plenty, that he's pretty much washed up, so wouldn't it have made much more sense to see how a promising rookie might develop instead? I don't know about Angelo sometimes. Some of his decisions just don't add up at times.

Dusty Dvoracek was one helluva football player for Bob Stoops at OU, but he was getting into constant trouble off the field until fate and former OU and Miami Dolphin great Jim Riley stepped in. Riley and his wife run a national outreach program out of the Oklahoma City area for troubled individuals - atheletes and plain, ordinary folks. He works with a number of professionals around the country, including former atheletes like Mike Singletary. Riley's outreach has made a difference in many lives. Bears fans should be grateful for the turn around Dvoracek has made in his own life. A lot of athletes would have been discouraged by injuries he's had the past couple of years. So far, it hasn't bothered Dusty.

Dusty was a great pick! He really helps solidify that D-Line with Tommie Harris.Praying that Dusty stays healthy this year.We really have a Great D-Line rotation when healthy.Marcus Harrison has played very nice in his 1st year! Adams & Idonije have played well too.We will have a pretty exciting defense this year,if we can stay relatively healthy.Bear Down! Take Care Everyone. GOD BLESS!! GO BEARS!!

We have Dusty, Israel, Tommie, Adams and the Rookie Harrison. WHile they are good players it does seem we are a little overloaded at d-tackle. Is it crazy to consider trading one of these guys for an o-lineman? Angelo actually does a decent job of drafting d-lineman (except haynes - that never happened) so I would be surprised if he didn't get some additional talent in next year's draft.

No way you can trade one of those (5) guy's Get Real....

Look at last years injury plague to the D-line as all the proof you need. WE lost (4) DT's to injury and Tommie wasn't even fully recovered from his hammy injury suffered in 2006.

Good to see some active commenting here. I was disappointed in the negativity around Hester's misplay on Sunday. This guy has been dropping balls and trying to play balls he shouldn't since day 1... and he's still the best gamble in town. You can't cheer him for bringing it back against the Giants on that FG try (where he could have lost 46 yards!) and fault him for losing 17 on Sunday's play.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Scorpio

If you haven't seen certain people during the past few days, how about inviting them over for a drink or a meal? You're feeling sociable and will enjoy doing some light entertaining although you'll draw the line at anything too strenuous. It's a lovely day for being in familiar surroundings with some familiar faces, even if all you do is flop on the sofa.
