Oh my, what a surprise, Todd Heap and another injury, a back bruise, I guess that means he will be out about 6 to 8 weeks. The girls on my daughters basketball team are tougher, what a wimp, and he proves it over and over again!!!

Need a hug Mike B? Sounds like you have anger issues.

Heap needs to be cut...this guy makes a ton of money to sit out half the season. Hopefully we draft a decent TE next year and we can start working Heap out of our plans.

Baltimore fans are the extremely fickle. Todd Heap was our entire offense for several years and got beat up in the process. He is still a good TE. He just needs to get healthy.
Yeah and Cal Ripken was the O's team for a bunch of years too...you wanna bring him back to play shortstop? Heap was good, but this is a what have you done for me lately league and Heap has been injured lately. He breaks like glass and that doesn't work too well when you play TE in the NFL. |

Heap only got so banged up because that P. of C. Boller strung everyone out over the middle to take a shot while unprotected. Glad to be rid of that guy - maybe now our guys won't have such a complex going over the middle. It will hopefully become the exception rather than the norm that Boller pulled every single game.
Hope you're in CA and rehabbing nicely, Kyle. Find a West Coast team fro next year - we don't need/want you. |

Clearly you don't watch much football Kristie. Who was the Ravens starting QB in 2006 and 2007? The period where Heap missed most of his time. Girls really shouldn't comment on things they don't understand. |
How do you know Kristie is a girl? Is KyleProBoller your real name? If Heap missed most of his time in 2006-2007, when MacNair was the QB, it stands to reason that most of Heap's injuries occurred while catching passes from Boller. Which was Kristie's point. Heap's problems are less from any one play than from an accumulation of brutal hits and wear and tear. Given how we nearly ran out of TE's last year, don't you think if the Ravens could have gotten a better TE than Heap in here they would have? Are you saying a 75% Heap is worse than no TE of any reasonable description? Obviously this coaching staff, which even you must admit, seem to really know their stuff, feel Heap can come back to something near his best. Unless you think they are idiots. But then you liked what they did this first game so how stupid can they be? So KPB, is this coaching staff stupid or do you think that maybe they have some idea of what to do with Heap? |
Cal is 48, and retired in 2001. Heap is 28 and still an active player. Your comparison of the two is curious. Ripken was an Iron man and Heap is a little more brittle in a far more brutal sport. As far as I know Heap is playing next week so he still has a chance to get his career back on track. His receiving was poor but the last time I looked everyone was impressed with the protection the line gave Flacco and the running backs; doesn't the tight end block or did Heap run pass patterns the whole day? If you really believe in "what have you done for me lately" then cut Stover. He missed a makeable field goal, can't kick off and lost the Miami game last year. Or fire Dave Trembley, cut George Sherrill and Adam Jones. |
Because I don't support your worthless QB, it's CLEAR I don't watch much football??? Kiss My A**- I bet I watch just as much as you do. And for years I have seen Boller stretch out our guys over the middle to take rib shots and worse. I think that's one reason our WRs develop t-rex arms when in the middle. Also, did you forget Boller played quite a bit last year when McNair injured himself in the first game? So you watch the game but just have no memory? Lay off the Natty Boh. The fact that I am female is irrelevent - As an Army Officer I'm sure I can kick your butt on & off the field and on & off the Blog realm. You're probably a slovenly couch potato who has nothing else to fill his hours than to insult those who dislike the former "heir (not) apparent" annointed by Billick and supported by no one. Get over yourself. |
Boller's and Wright's favorite play was the jump ball to Heap. Don't worry about KyleProBoller - He was dropped on his head numerous times as a child. |

Thanks Bill!
Do you live in Cumming, GA or is that where your IP registers to? My best friend lives there - moved a few years ago from Roswell. Nice area but the traffic is ridiculous. |
No, I live in Balimore. I'm not sure why it always list me as being from Cumming, GA.
Hey Bill, looks like Kristie might be Cumming over to see you...Sorry, I'm twelve. |
Oh, that's funny then. My friend absolute hates to tell anyone where's she from. She still says "near Atlanta." Guess when it comes to Cumming, everyone is still 12!! LOL.
Guess I won't ask if you know her!(not like it's that small of a town anyway...) |
