Is 2007 McNabb's last in Philly?

Full story: The Morning Call

If theme music could be applied to Donovan McNabb's expected return this Sunday as the Eagles' starting quarterback, a lot of people would pick Frank Sinatra crooning My Way's ''and now, the end is near.'' ...

Chicago here he comes, and I am sure he will do good there. Face it no top receivers in Philly, not the greatest offensive line, and a quaterback that lost a step or two, that leads to not making the play-offs.

We can only hope, although I'm sure the next step will be a sub-par quarterback to replace McNabb. Tough to be an Eagles fan.

Good riddens mcCRAP!! Never did anything (lost in the big dance) and got paid the most. He is worthless and needs to go, but I love when the GIANTS sack this lard-butt 12 times and they will crucify him Sunday!!!

The irony will be him going to Chicago. Him beating Philly in a playoff game and going on to the Superbowl and winning that as well.

Sweet.

Reality though is that he is just a slightly above average QB who is getting long in the years. Trips over himself in the games that really count and he is injury prone.

As a Steelers fan, I could care less, but he has done more than most of you people sitting on you but-s on Sunday and then Monday telling how they should have played the game. Actually I haven't seen any of your names placed anywhere for coach, even in 95 pound leagues. Did any of you play?

I grew up as an eagles fan and in recent years have seriously considered switching teams. Any other team in the NFL that has had such bad results would have had fired their coach and their qb. Reed needs to step down as he is a failure as a coach and as a father. McGag needs to leave. When Garcia stepped up onto the plate the other year and turned the team around, He did what Mcnabb couldnt. He didnt choke when it counted. Then they go and get rid of him. talk about gratitude. More like Mcnabb trying to save his sorry hide. People wonder why the guys that now fill in for him when he's not playing, cant play? Its because they never get to play. Im suprised you dont see mcnabb being pushed around on a hospital gurney so he can still play instead of giving the 2nd & 3rd string players some experience. They both should have left years ago. Hopefully There will be a day when you can say your an eagle fan and people wont laugh before asking why!

Bye bye Donavan. You played well for a number of years, but are too injury-prone to keep on the staff. You have played just over 60% of the games in the past two years and not play good. It was a shame to get rid of Garcia. I guess Donavan's mom had a great influence stating don't forget about Donavan, he's your quarterback. Well, it's time to move back in with mommy, your biggest fan.

To the irate Eagle's fans, I think Ricky Williams will be available next season.

It sounds like you just described the Bears, they aren't a very promising team either. His best fit is Minnesota, with Childress and a healthy running game with Adrian Peterson.

David, you've come a long way from "Its a shame it had to come to this". You've gone from bland all the way to infamitory.

Where did you play your professional career? Or what team are you currently coaching for? What a ridiculous post from a Steelers fan no less. You can't live off the glory of yesteryear. Yeah McNabb was great at one time, but the last two seasons he has been horrible or injured. The bigger concern for the Eagles is the fact that they do not have a clear cut future QB for this franchise. Not to mention their WRs are garbage. Time to do a clean sweep, starting with McNabb and Reid.

I do believe that he had a rather large running back behind him named Riggins to carry the load so he really had nothing to do to be successfully.

Don't switch teams! At least you have one thing going for you...being an Eagles fan means you didn't start liking your team just because they won a Superbowl! All of these Cowboys, Steelers, Colts, and New England fans are coming out of the woodwork in the Lehigh valley. I wonder why that is? What happened to cheering for the home team?

One of the things that has "happened to cheering for the home team" is the huge popularity of Fantasy Football. You no longer find yourself rooting for a "team" as much as you root for individual players.
My guess would be that some of these McNabb bashers drafted him this year.

Just can't wait till McGag is gone!
McGag can eat his soup in some other state. Reed should have stepped down. How can he concentrate on the season with all his family issues??

Don't give me that CRAP. T.O made catches for McSuck that NO OTHER WR could make. McSuck has ALWAYS thrown the ball at WR's feet and over their heads. This is nothing new. You will NEVER win a SB with McSuck. I don't care how many games the TEAM won (not McSuck) the problem is that he can't win the big game. P Manning was getting beat up because he couldn't win the big game in only his 5th season. How long do we have to wait until someone has the B***S to say that about McSuck????????

As a Steelers fan, I could care less
about McNabb's longevity. However,
I do agree with Westbrook's post about McSuck's inability to win the big game. After McSuck lost the Super Bowl in his sixth season with the eagles, Ben Roethlisberger won
Super Bowl XL for The Pittsburgh
Steelers the following year in only his second season.
