Report says Michael Vick put family pets in ring with fighting dogs and 'thought it was funny.'

Why doesn't the Media report about the dozens of other dog fighting and animal abuse cases that have happened since the M. Vick case.
I was watching the news last week in Texas and the police had broken up a dog fighting ring. This dog fighting is nothing new. In the South its part of our culture, both Blacks, Whites and Latinos have done this for decades.

I agree, what Vick did was only a misdemeanor. It wasn't worth going to jail for.

When I was young and growing up in Georgia I watched many people who would provoke their dogs to fight other dogs. It was no big deal. But now a few girly men politicians have made it illegal. You have some States that give you more Jail time for abusing a dog than if you abused a child.

Its ridiculous.

Well guess what! It is ILLEGAL now and a FELONY! If that doesn't get it for you then YOU need to go to jail. You want to see some more people going to jail for it? Try watching Animal Cops on Animal Planet. They bust them up all the time. It just so happens that Vick is a superstar celebrity so it is news everywhere. The average person only gets their names in the local papers.

Then you should lobby congress to make them change it back to a misdemeanor. Why some of you whine about what it "should" have been is beyond me. Do you think you can pick and choose which laws you obey? Go out and drive 75 miles an hour in a residential area and see what happens. Try assaulting someone you don't like. Show up drunk in a public place and make a nuisance of yourself.

I've not ever heard of anyone getting more time for animal abuse than for child abuse. I didn't make the laws and laws are definitely not always applied fairly. Everyone knows that.
As for the interracial dating, good grief man, where have you been? The races are so mixed up now that it's hard to tell sometimes what race a person actually is. But you know what?
