I still can't believe we have Cutler. When will this season start already...?

Yeah, but we also have Obsama. It's laugh on Sunday, cry on Monday thing. |

lovie will be having group sessions devoted to crying and letting all emotions be freely expressed. Every sunday night starting and approximately 8pm. These players will need that spiritual time to regroup after each tough defeat. With Jay Cutler leading these emotional get-togethers they are sure to be able to lift their spirits and move on to the next beating to come upon them. Good times to all

If I pick the right 6 numbers I'll win the lottery 2night.

I haven't heard a good Ripley's believe it or not in a while!

I woke up this morning thinking the exact same thing - no actually it was that Bank of America was at 14 or 15 dollars.

A good top five questions to answer, but here are five more.
6) Will Vasher return to old form? 7) Will we get some outside pass rush from Wale, Brown, Anderson? 8) Will Turner be more creative and open the play book to take advantage of Cutler? 9) Will Lovie calling defensive plays make a difference? 10) Will Olsen become an elite TE and Hester improve? |

I love the excitement, but let's not get too giddy just yet. It's only July so we have no idea what's going to happen. Things look good on paper, but who knows what will happen regarding injuries and some of new starters. If only David Haugh and Rick Morrissey could meet somewhere in between, we might be able to have a realistic picture of what may really happen this year. Either way you look at it, 2009 is going to be interesting. Can't wait for opening night in stinky cheeseland!
Oh yeah, Dean, you're a douche. WTF are you talking about? |
Can't believe the Bears are really committed to Hester as a receiver?
If the Bears want to go to the Super Bowl at the end of this season, they'd better start calling ticket brokers now.
Oh, and a note to the Tribune, have Haugh's office checked for carbon monoxide or other airborne hallucinogens. |

Those are just about the same 5 questions I've had, as well, Haugh. Good article.
And, yes, I do believe this team has the potential to go deep into the playoffs. Angelo made some great moves this off-season. I can't wait to see Urlacher and Harris back at full strength; Forte should be even better in his second year; Olson is always fun to watch. I'm not even really all that worried about the receivers, because most of their problems last year stemmed from the fact that Orton has no accuracy beyond 25 yards. I think the single biggest concern is the safeties. |

david get off the kool aid
Do you have any idea how much of a threat Hester could be with a QB who can throw deep with accuracy? I mean, with Orton, anything over 25 yards was a Hail Mary. |
Come on, can't you leave politics out of sports? |
sounds like somebody's getting you to read their article.
The Bears have Cutler no WR and old DB's lets hope they stay above 3rd in the North! |
loving all you "ney-sayers" ... when we win it, i hope you have the guts to eat your words.
Too many candy-a's out there.... just look at how far the Bears Odds went down at Vegas to get a clue. We are a threat, that's all the article suggested. To all you whinners, keep whinning if it makes you feel good. Around February of 2010 I look forward to your post about how were lucky or some other whine li'tat'. |

David. You must be a Cubs fan. Only a Cubs fan can believe that the Bears are going to the superbowl before the preseason even starts
Why don't you and Rick Morrissey get together and write a balanced article that accurately tells me the bears' prospects? You write like you are on the Bears payroll and your buddy Rick writes like Jay Cutler stole his girlfriend. I'm sick of the extreme viewpoints; somebody shoot me straight!

What the hell are you smoking Haugh? We've got absolutely NO pass rush from the DL or anyone able to consistently catch the ball at WR; an aging OL that is past due for attrition-related injuries while trying to protect an immobile QB, no viable backups for either Cutler or Forte, holes in the defensive secondary and a head coach who has shown NO ability to adjust to the other teams' moves at halftime and you're talking Super Bowl? You must be smoking a super "bowl" full of weed to be able to engage in this type of hallucinatory dreamweaving. And I didn't even mention Urlacher and Harris being past their prime and limited by chronic ailments. Cripes, David - pass that bowl my way so I can see something beyond an 8-8 season in a weak division and a quick exit in the playoffs if this mediocre record qualifies us for the post-season!

thats BS and everyone knows it - that guy is fast as hell but there were many passes right to him and he could not pull it in. i honestly cringe when i see hester striding downfield but ive relaxed quite a bit cuz he has not proven himself able to run and catch at the same time. A great receiver will come down with the ball and he cannot do that. And nows he's no longer a threat on kick returns. He actually helps the kicking team on 9 outta 10 returns by going backwords. I know bears fans expect a superbowl every year but this isnt going to be it. Look back at the Rex superbowl experience cuz its the closest youre going to come to the superbowl for seasons to come. Maybe mike vick will come to town and help you guys out when cutler breaks a pinky and cant throw. Bears have always been a running team anyways havent they? Itll be an interesting season indeed. I know i talk sh*t but i gotta say its only because i have more passion for the vikings/bears rivalry then i do the vikes/packers. When favre left they instantly became much less of a threat in the division and i just plain love getting the bears fans worked up. Makes things a little less boring while in front of the computer. Now a favre led viking team against cutler and the bears. I gotta say i am very anxious to see that game indeed. hope it happens |
