Kazanjian, Faticanti lose seats

Full story: Lowell Sun

The voters of Lowell were hungry for change. They got it. In the biggest turnover since 1993, the citizens gave the nod to three newcomers on the City Council, bouncing veteran Councilor Armand Mercier and his embattled colleague, Alan Kazanjian.

Your poor use of grammar indicates that you're still drunk from the victory parties last night!:-)

I second your opinion, however.

They say that high voter turnout at the polls is an indicator of change...that low voter turnout is good for incumbants and high voter turnout is good for challengers. I find it interesting that this was a very average year - 26% of Lowell's registered voters showed up at the polls yesterday, which is slightly less than our city's average...yet, Mercier, Faticanti and Kazanjian were ousted from their posts...I'm especially shocked that Faticanti lost so big with only one challenger - shocked but oh-so-happy. What does this tell us about our city? It tells us that these three didn't lose to newly-registered voters turning out to make change...No...They lost to those who at one time had faith in them. People who supported them maybe as recently as last spring are disgusted and disappointed in recent happenings.

To the people of Lowell - Great job - enough is enough - Now let's clean up the city.....Kazanjian, Faticanti bye, bye - don't let the door hit you where the sun doesn't shine. You won't be missed. Kazanjian - you have pushed your luck long enough - Reginia - you have the worst personality I have ever in my life seen.

Bye.... Bye......

Regina lost and the Sun got what they wanted. Wouldn't it be classy for Chris Scott to drop the threatening charge against Regina and let the city move on without threat of yet another lawsuit and embarassing criminal trial? Is Jay Lang really AFRAID of Regina? Grow a set!!!

Yes, agreed!
We can all thank The Puppetmaster aka The prior City Manager
for that.
He was trying to build his army of haters and goodfellas back then. But never got the chance.

No--Chris Scott should have her day in court and so should Regina Faticanti. That way the public can hear the story while the two parties are under oath. That's as close as we'll get to the truth. Scott should not make accusations to drive Rita out of office unless she can back it up in court.

The voters of Lowell have spoken and spoken loud. The time has come for some change.I am glad to see that people realize that we have had thieves in our city council. Now it is up to the District Atty.'s office to pursue those involved in illegal activity within our City.To bad for Al K.,looks like he got sacked.(sac-ed).

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Virgo

If the December sales are calling you, you'd better work out a budget before you leave the house. Otherwise, you'll be tempted to use your credit card first and only consider the cost of your purchase later on. Even so, you could track down some great bargains now, provided you don't get carried away and buy items that you don't really want simply because you're astonished by the amount of money you'll save in buying them. But you'll save even more money if you don't buy them!
