I can not believe that the state of Tennessee can actually get up to fifty percent of your money if no will was ever tooken out.Seriously what is really going on in this case. No wonder this case was closed in record breaking time. What really amazes me is the state will take up to fifty cents on each dollar of your estate, but if you are poor with no type of burial insurance or life insurance they will give you less than three hundred dollars to bury you. Well I shouldnt of said poor because alot of people rich or poor do not even think to get life or burial insurance

Most of that tax rate is federal but there are a lot of exemptions. My guess is he had mostly real estate and securities. The restaurants are worthless without him.

I didnt think or really know how all that worked. State federal is all foriegn language to me,till the end of the tax paying year. lol...... And that is a very good point about the resteraunts being worthless without him. I didnot realize either he owned more than one resteraunt. Hopefully his wife and children will get what they deserve or what they are entitled too. I hope that come out right. When it comes to death follwed by money, one walks or types on egg shells on whatt to say. I do not want to offend any one. It is hard to believe a man with his money had no will. But then again no one likes to think of death
