tony dungy is a hypocrite. this is the same guy who traded two first round picks for a mouthy wr named keyshawn johnson (author of "just throw me the damn ball") who talked his way out of the new york jets.

very convenient, tony. had you not been gifted peyton manning, you'd have no authority about franchise qb's.

"quarterbacking is much more than just making throws."

True. But it at least STARTS with making throws. He is someone who can do step 1 for the first time since 1985 - we can worry about the rest later.

this coming from a guy who is backing Vick...a guy who did some very dispicable, horrendous things to those dogs in a Jeffrey Dahmer type manner. Now he didn't eat the dogs but what he did was show everyone how mentally F'd up he is. Isn't that what they say about little boys who torture animals; that they will most likely grow up to be very disturbed individuals and potentially very dangerous. But I guess they should give him another chance to lead a football team. I wonder if its because Dungheap sees that he has that "killer" instinct. I love the reverse racism going on in this country. Our society is so f'd up...and I'm saying that from CA.

Who in hell cares what Tony Dungy thinks? Let him establish himself as a bona fide NFL broadcast analyst - whatever that is - and then he can say something like this (which is the second time he's mentioned it so apparently it hasn't gotten much traction).

The trade was great.
I think people are wrong when they say it'll be a waste if they don't bring in a receiver.
I'm all for bringing in a receiver, but they shouldn't bring in just any receiver. He's got to fit in with the team.
I'm very glad they seem to be steering clear of Plaxico. The guy is talented but brings way too much baggage.
The guys over at InsideChicagoSports.com got it exactly right.

Why are we still upset about what Dungy says about anything. He quit the game, could not hack it anymore. Move on.

If Cutler fails in Chicago, it's Grossman's fault. If Cutler succeeds in Chicago, the credit will go to Obama.

I like Tony Dungy but since he retired he is sticking his nose in the business of other teams where it does not belong. Maybe he should go back to coaching or something. He is coming out with remarks about how other teams should do something or not or even about Vick coming back into the NFL which is really none of his business. I am sure the NFL teams do not appreciate his comments or care what he says. He needs to tone it down and just do whatever he is going to do while commentating at the football games mainly talking about plays and what is going on with the game. This is just my opinion but if I was a coach or a team owner I really would not what his input into my team especially when it was not asked of Tony Dungy.
