Broncos' Ernster: 'I Feel Like I Owe Them'

I'm not going to expect anything. I'll just do my job, go work hard through the offseason programs and take care of my business. When reports of the Broncos ' interest in bringing back punter Todd Sauerbrun first surfaced earlier this month, Paul Ernster scarcely had time to fret. Sure, Sauerbrun was the punter that preceded him, and whom he subsequently beat out thanks to his performance in the first four regular-season games last season while Sauerbrun served a league suspension. But the notion that a team will bring in players to challenge for your job is NFL normalcy, and little more. "For one second, I thought, 'This could be bad,' but then I thought, 'I'll just work harder,' because I've got to separate myself that much more," Ernster said. Read more
