Our rushing-D better fill in that gap that they kept letting the Lions rush through yesteday before the 49ers get here next Sunday. We looked pretty p i s s poor the during the 1st half.

Preseason is over...this will be a good time for the Viking's offense to start throwing the ball down field.

The longest pass to a Vikings WR was 13 yards to Rice, and 8 of those yards were on the ground. Time to open up the offense...the "dink and dunk" won't do it against the better teams in the NFL.

To do so, the offensive line has to pass block, which so far has been non-existent!

Childress better make sure Tarvaris and/or Sage gets some reps this week. The way that 49er defense is playing, Favre is likely to get knocked around quite a bit on Sunday.

And our run defense better show up fast.

It's time for Favre to start streching the field and actually hitting a couple of long passes. We've got Berrian and Harvin, let's use them. Rice has the height and the best hands on the team, put them to use.

Unless Childress can get some imagination, I've got a bad feeling about next Sunday's game.

Sunday will be a good test. Look for Mike Singletary to be cussing on the visitor sideline. No RB is going across country on us, and that young QB will be chasing Greenway down field. This is our home opener and we need to focus...come ready to play. I believe in good sportsmanship just like the next guy. But this week we don't spot em 10 points. This will be an early season benchmark to see where this team lies. It will not be an easy match to win. The Vikes better come out swingin this time. They appear to be evenly matched on paper. 49rs did a number on the Cardinals IN Phoenix. The win over the Seahawks is not that impressive, since Hasslebeck got knocked out and seneca wallace came in. Gores 200+ yards were against a 2nd rate defense. He only had a handfull against the cards...
