Browns' TE Winslow causes controversy

Full story: Carroll Co. Times

It wasn't a full-scale mutiny inside the Cleveland Browns' locker room, but controversial tight end Kellen Winslow's critique of the offense definitely got under coach Romeo Crennel's usually thick skin.

Kelien Winslow has proven that his glory days are left behind him in Miami. How can a 3 year rookie can open his mouth and can havoc in the locker room. To me he is no value to Romeo Crennel,The BROWN'S org. If the BROWN'S org. is smart they should get rid of him NOW!Unless they like babysitting.

I both agree and disagree with you. I do agree that Winslow is a serious idiot for even opening his mouth about the coaching when he had only started, what? like three games? BUT, I don't think the Browns should get rid of him just yet. The Browns, let's face it, they're a pretty darn sucky team. Although Winslow may be a jacka$$, they DO need him. Personally, if I were one of those coaches (Crenell in particular) I wouldn't have played him in the game following his comments about the Offensive Coaching staff. What he said was craziness...it may have been true, but he had NO place to say it. I wouldn't be getting rid of him, though, because they need him.

I disagree with your resolve. The Browns did the right thing. Although, Romeo did the have to sit his wunderthunk down and read him the riot act as any parent would with a spouting off underling. Romeo should also keep in mind that out of mouths of babes the truth sometimes comes.

I DO think that what Winslow stated was true, but he didn't have any right to go on live TV and state it. After playing in a total of, like, what was it, 4 games, Winslow does NOT have the right to go and insult the coaching staff. He should've spoken with them about it privately, while going on air and graciously accepting the loss, like any respecting player does.
