The Vikes got rid of Richardson because the Jets were willing to pay a lot and they thought Thomas Tapeh would be just as good as a replacement. Bad move. Hopefully the Vikes will find someone on the waiver wire or in the draft, because going with Naufahu Tahi is not a very good option. He moves like Pat Williams in space, and that might even be a slam to big ole Phat Pat.

In all seriousness......After 3 years of Childress blowing smoke up everyones ass, how many quality players are really willing to come to Minnesota? We are losing a better quality of player than we are bringing in at this point and that is from a team who was a division winner and had a playoff appearance. I am sorry but that doesn't speak well for coaching staff. I am not just talking about Weaver either.......there doesn't seem to be alot of belief and trust out there right now.

Madieu Williams will prove to be the worst free agent move yet. Quality player? What has he ever done? Oh yeah he is in his 4th year so pay him.

way to hold down the voice of reason jeebs, i think that almost every move that we have made in the last few years has been a good one. williams was solid even coming in his first game after being injured. jared took a few games to find his groove, but by halfway though the season he was a maniacal force even with a separated shoulder. even bernard had a good season and fans need to realize that he is a deep threat that stretches the field, not a possession receiver that is going to catch 100 balls a year. tony richardson is one guy that i felt we shouldn't have let get away, but besides that almost every move has made us better.
i also like that we extended cedric griffin's contract. that guy really looked like crap the first half of the season, but made great strides the second half and i have to give him a lot of credit for that. i think he could become an amazing corner.

To those of you who think childress is a coach(head coach at that) then take him with you to anyother team the Vikings surely don't need him..He's been a loser for three years now--so pack his bags along with T-jackson and hit the road--go back to Philly..childress is a loser a born loser!!Ziggy find us a coach---please--and a QB--Culter--Shannana is out there--even Green was better then childress(notice how childress does'nt even deserve his name capitilized--he's a Loser!!

I agree with everything you posted except for Ced becoming an amazing corner. I think he is servicable and above average, and made great strides the second half of the season, but that was contributed to Allen and company getting heat on the QB. I hope I am wrong and he does become that amazing CB, but IMO he lacks true cover speed to get there.

AD doesn't want a fullback: they only get in his way. Really can't wait for that first Vikings' home game in their new City of Industry stadium. I'd like to openly thank Minny (mini?) Governor Pawlenty.(Naw, I'd really rather just watch the Guvernator knock him senseless... Oh, wait, he already is senseless.)

...and how do you lose out to a one-year deal??? Did the Vikings get to make an offer? Surely security is worth something...unless you really don't want to be there.

It has become the same theme, teams look here and then decide no one wants to play in Childresses KAO or on a team without a QB.

Didn't you get the memo?

...agree 100%...i was reading a comment earlier on vikings now, the reporters made a comment that they didn't think CUTLET and KLINK would be able to get along...IMO...KLINK is one of the main reasons why top notch players sign with other teams. ZYGI would rather keep this sorry excuse for a coach, and let players who could bring success to the vikes, go somewhere else. ZYGI should cut his losses, fire klink and bring in a top tier coach...this as it stands with clueless is not going to get any better!

I am talking this year. Greenway and Peterson were acquired via the draft I am talking current FAs Childress made his comment before the season started last year about the new Kick Ass Offense and after 2 games he yanks the plug on Jackson. Then he decides to let a chump like Ferarro hang around all year long and still retain him only to wait for him to leave on his own.

This "wich way is the wind blowing today" approach to the QB situation and the inconsistent play and conservative play calling.......how does a potential FA take stock in that when you can't even decide who your QB is on starting day and there has been a 3 year resume between the 2.
