LASTWORDS: TELL ME TELL ME. diduKnow doUknow why i'm going to jail. go run and scare someone else with your mindless bluffs adult.
You're going to jail because that's where ignorant, uneducated, smartmouth, weedheads usually end up. Since you're not smart enough to write anything intelligent I expect you're too dumb to pay attention to your education. So you probably will have a short career in drug dealing then, either get caught or shot to death over a drug deal. Go to bed kid and sleep it off. Keep your hands off your whacker too. It's making you crazy.

Dobermans are extremely intelligent dogs. You must be very fast if you outran them down the street. ;-)
at the time yeah I was pretty fast. Matter of fact one time me and my brother had to jump on top of someones car to avoid them. They were the red dobermans with the red eyes! as a kid that was a scary sight. but when I look back at it some of the dogs just wanted to play. but I never took a chance with the dobermans. this was back in the early 80's when dobermans were the pitbulls of the day back then.

I remember dobermans. I even rescued one from a neighbor a long time ago. I wish this thing with pitbulls would pass too. After going out of the country seeing there are no laws for animals, you really appreciate ours. I have been chased by dogs before but not for a looog time. What I saw there really upset me. some of the animal welfare programs have written me as I told them spay/neuter programs were an emergency situation. They wrote back too. but I was so glad to drive down the street in Atlanta and see HEALTHY dogs on leashes on a REAL sidewalk with room to walk.

Dobies are pretty much big babies. But, if one is chasing you... they look like the Hound of the Baskervilles!:-)

One of my folks Weimaraners scared the crap out of some visitors, one night. She was outside, it was dark. She stood up on her hind legs, against the side of the house, and looked into the living room window.

All the guests could see was a pair of big, glowing, white eyes about five feet off the ground.:-)

tell me about it, and they are FAST!!!! thats how I know most of them were playing with us because if they wanted to catch us they would. Actually I was thinking of buying a mini dobie for my mother for her birthday. she wants a dog so bad because since my irish setter died(20 years ago) she hasnt had another dog in the house. she is older though so I dont know if a mini-dobie is the right dog for her, too much energy. ;-)

Yeah, if they were serious, you'd have been toast!
I'd check out an older dog, for her, if I were you. Trained and mellow. If she's over 65, some shelters have a "seniors for seniors" program. Free adoption, of an older dog, by an older person.
You could take her to the shelter and let the dog chose HER, too!:-)
That's how I got my latest pet. She jumped into my arms.

Go to the local SPCA and pick out a mutt that has some obvious retriever or labrador in him/her. It will turn out to be a mid sized dog, doofy, loyal, laid back, very intelligent and very devoted. You can't go wrong with a mutt from the pound and it won't cost you a cent except for adoption and spay/neuter fees.

Puppies ARE cute! But, they have to be trained and played with ALL the time. Then, there is that teething phase, where they chew on the furniture, books, shoes....Might be too taxing. My Dad almost didn't survive his last Weimaraner's first year.

I find it hilarious when all these folks cry about poor Vicky getting another chance. Know this all you Vick supporters. This man doesn't give a shyt about any one of you.
He could care a less if you were in jail or anything else as far as that goes.
I feed a dog and in return it displays loyalty and no doubt my dog would lay its life down for me. You all fed Vick, Vick's family, his posse and he spit in your faces. He laughed at all of you and threw all your support down the toilet. At least I get a return on my investment. So let's say this parasite turns his life around (doubt it) but lets say he does. What's in it for you? What do you get out of it? A football game? So you've all said it a thousand times, "He deserves another chance!" So what if he gets one, how will this serve you?
It serves me to watch a talented guy run around the football field and make other talented guys miss. Thats it, nothing more, nothing less! Oh!, and Lanie I am so very glad that you feed your dog...thats a great return on your investment...you should probably be somewhere walking on water right now. I find it funny that I get into it with you almost every time I read an article about Vick, oh, not too forget (new york) my blog name is vick fan because I dont jump ship just because someone does an idiotic thing, I dont agree w/dog fighting. but anyway love to argue w/lanie.

I'm curious, what if...this is a big one Vick haters...ready? Here goes, how about if you would have spoken out, written, and e-mailed against child abuse. Don't you think your years and years of saving the dogs would have been better served saving children? I have a dog and yes I'd be pissed if someone mistreated her, but I don't think I would devote my life to the cause because of it. All I read in these post are the (facts) as some of you state about the work you put in to save dogs! wow, do you really think this changes anything in the south??? Nope! they just take dog-fighting further underground. Hell, some of you had never heard of fighting dogs for sport until the Vick thing, which says what? It just started? lol this will always be a sport to many people now probably more so because its a very risky sport. So, pat yourselves on the back and think in your dog saving brains that you have actually accomplished something by posting and e-mailing about the wrong and inhumane things that dogs indure in their life-time down south. All the while there are actual human beings being beaten and mis-treated all over the WORLD. Way to fight for a worthy cause I am sure the abused people of the world thank you for your time well served. Also, I would like to thank all of the English Majors for correcting my last post,(Lanie) without you I do not think I would be able to ever post again!! LOL Good job on your life's mission...saving dogs....who eat out of a bowl...on the floor...and go to he bathroom outside...and lick themselves...all over...you shall be rewarded for your efforts to save ANIMALS...not humans! Go ahead Lanie I am ready for your response!

No, most of us have been activists for animals for quite awhile. If you had been reading the posts, you've seen that some have been animal rescuers, for a long time.

And, a number of us are also active politically, or in human welfare arenas-- child protection, womens' rights, and others. Some were active in civil rights back in the 60s and 70s-- when it was really dangerous.

Did you think that humans can have only ONE area of concern?

But, as long as you opened the subject.. what are YOU doing for humanitarian causes? In which ones are YOU actively involved?

Oh, and BTW-- Are you aware that dogfights are also venues for drug dealing and gun running? Do you think drugs and illegal weapons are good for the children? And, the OTHER crimes connected to the dogfighting industry, sometimes including murder?

Did you know that over 70% of people who enjoy abusing animal escalate to hurting people?

Are you aware that adults often drag their kids to these crime-ridden activities, exposing them to violence, illegal weapons, and drugs at very young ages? Do you suppose Vick protected HIS three young kids from these influences?

How about people who use the kids' food money to gamble on the animals?

Now, what, again. did you say that YOU are doing to make the world a better place?

Heck! I'm not active in anything except my retirement and having fun. I have to take care of a house, yard, my cats, my aquarium, sometimes my grandchildren and that leaves me a little time for fun. I simply don't like people who abuse animals. But I don't like people who abuse people either. And, I don't like people who defend the abusers.

I think whoever is putting up the spam, peanut, lemon and other negative signs are doing so for the sole purpose of making sure there isn't space left for a positive sign. Whoever is doing it sure doesn't have much of a life.

Doesn't matter. You can always redecorate, and replace THEIR stuff with yours. I'm about to redecorate THIS post.
