Chiller and the boys are having a terrific off-season and deserve a lot of credit. I only wish they had put this much energy into signing FAs last year when the talent pool was much deeper. Still, I now believe this team is set up to win the NFC Norris Division going away, provided they dump Bollinger and sign two veteran QBs to back up for T. Jack. He still scares me. And trading for a pass-rushing DE (like Peppers or Taylor) would sure help, especially if they hope to "advance" in the playoffs.

C-Griff better be studying on how to defend the pass in the NFL. Dude picked his game up a bit last year, but we need him to step it up to a whole new level for us to become a better pass defense. Can any of these safety's play DB? I am concerned about McCauley and Griffin being on the edges.

All in all, they've done not all that poorly in addressing some holes and adding depth. This can continue in the upcoming draft.
McKinnie's fate could be crucial for the Vikes. If they decide to get rid of him, expect a good return for him - a player & pick combo, perhaps.

Good signings! Glad to see the Vikings bring in some good size at Safety! Same for DT.

Its good to see them trying to batter their roster.
Hopefully they can find the future QB in the draft!

Kenderick is a rotation guy....3rd rotation guy...

Boulware on the other hand...He's still young enough to have potential. He could make a difference and definately be a starter.

Two new heavy hitters; two more steps to a healthy Vikings defense in 2008. I love it. Here are some more, the rest of the dream: Trade McKinnie and some low round draft choices for Peppers (doubtful proposition), sign QB Frerrotte (talks must be stalled with no signing this morning) draft that Rogers-Cromartie CB, maybe Calais Campbell (DE at #2), QB Joe Flacco (the tall guy) at 3A, and maybe a bonus like the fastest RB in the draft (E. Carolina's Chris Johnson) or the fastest WR in the draft (Houston's Ken Avery) at 3B. We'll find somebody falling out from another team to take McKinnie's place. Well, we can dream, can't we?!?

Nice additions - however - we still need DE, OT and QB. I'd like to see someone brought in for those positions.

Congrats to these guys for finishing their education. Most of the low class thugs in the NFL should look at their examples!

The vikes can put 11 great defense players on the field, 10 great offense players cute cheer leaders, but as long as chlly and t-jack they are not going anyplace post season.

Two more worthless signings – unless one of them can play quarterback.

By the way, no doubt that GBfan is truly a Packer Backer – you can easily recognize this by the lousy spelling and grammar along with the idiotic ramblings. Under Childress the Vikings will continue to wallow in mediocrity but without Favre the Packers will regress to their rightful place – the pre-Farve futility of the 70s and 80s. Bet on it.

I love it when someone talks crap 6 months before any game is even played. I have only seen one other Packer fan post on here that is NOT obnoxious, and its definitly not you. Go back to your own forum.

Boulware could be a great signing, if he can stay healthy. I also like the DT brought in just to compete and go through the off season workouts with the Williams twins. Quarterback and DE are the most looming needs, but Edwards, Robison, and James could improve steadily next year to fill that need. Tarvaris has less room for error this year, as the expectations will rise with every game.

Vikes have gotten a whole lot better.Trade Mc Kinnie for Jared ALLEN of the Chiefs or Jason Taylor of Fins, then give Texans 3rd for Rosenthal or Losman of Bills, then roster is complete after drafting OT 1st round. Can you say Super Bowl and finally a RING!!!!!!
