Gee....didn't see that one coming! Just as quickly as he was released, he will be picked up.

I doubt it.

He will sign somewhere, but not quickly. Harrison, Holt, and others will sign first.

2003 Byron Leftwich QB (Gone)
2004 Reggie Williams WR (Gone)
2005 Matt Jones WR (Gone)
2006 Marcede Lewis TE (would have been good second or third round pick)
2007 Reggie Nelson DB (work in progress)
2008 Derrick Harvey DE (work in progress)

2009 ????

The main need according to Del Rio is a Tight End or WR who can catch a 6.5-yard slant, then break 6 tackles to gain 20 yards.

I think you are being too kind calling Reggie Nelson a work in progress.

I still think they take best OL/DL available at 1.8 and then take a WR early 2nd. This draft is very deep at WR, and as much as I like Crabtree, they should pass on him at 1.8 if J.Smith or Monrow, or BJ Raji are somehow still available

Just for fun I wonder what would happen if one of the two QB’s feel to number 8?

What is going on ? Do the Jags want to move ?
The fan base here is more fragile then fine crystal and they release another player that is starting to show promise ? When does it end ? Are we like the big banks and like to gamble on unknowns ? Who will we get in the draft ? This is always a unknown variable.
Why not release the entire team then and lets start fresh. New Players and New Coach.

Get this white hooligan sissy off the squad.

He's nothing but white hype and we all know where that has gotten us.

He'll continue to thumb his nose at the law and violate the conditions of his probation until he's finally thrown out of the program and has to face his original 4 year minimum controlled substance abuse charge.

I for one wont shed a tear. Rule #1 in the NFL Draft, never draft a white skill position player in the 1st round. Exceptions only for Quarterbacks.

They are genetically effeminate and weaker than the majority Negro league. Thus there chances for failure are great. AS we already know they are prone to abuse drugs and failing on a national level can lead to the kind of reckless and self denigrating behavior Jones has displayed.

Quite frankly, Europeans belong on the tennis court. Not the gridiron.

AS an aside, I would suggest bringing Reggie Williams back to camp. His recent charges were dropped in what was clearly an attempt by rogue officers to arrest a high profile Negro athlete. So soon we forget this former 1st round pick led this team with 10tds just two years ago. While Matt Jones moped on the sidelines like a bitter, drug riddled school girl.

Williams is a proven red zone threat, a great blocker and is still young. HE can be had for peanuts and is familiar with our offensive system.

No we just don't need backwoods hillbillies to be the face of our franchise. Matt Jones was a goon. A thug. A criminal who should be in prison and would be but for the privilege of his white skin and "professional" status.

The man should be working at a car wash and is a disgrace to the Jaguars and the league.

I agree on almost all counts.
Travel channel debuted their new show tonight.
"Dhani tackles the globe".
He was in Thailand for the premire show learning Muey Thai fighting.
The lil Thai trainer was holding the pads while Dhani was kicking him off of the freakin ground!

All I have heard last night and today is “Who are the Jags going to throw the ball too” Who did they throw the ball to last year, the running backs and tight ends. WR are only for blocking in the Del Rio Offence scheme. The Jags have more TE on the Rooster now than they do WR and Jack is Happy.

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Sagittarius

After all the excitement of the past few days you're longing for the chance to put your feet up and take life easy for a while. Ideally, you should bury your nose in a good book and be left alone until you resurface for a food transfusion. But you'll also enjoy chatting to someone you know very well and for whom you don't have to make a big effort, such as a close relative.
