On the positive side, these athletes are not serving in Baghdad or Afghanistan. They make more money and receive better medical care than our servicemen. When the players step out on the field, they receive cheers from their fans. When a soldier steps out on the field, death awaits their every turn. The thing is that both serve a purpose in our free society.
