Ouch. McCarthy took the NFL single season TD record away from Aaron Rodgers. Aaron will have to settle for Athlete of the Year, NFL MVP, a 15-1 record, Super Bowl MVP, and 2 NFL Championship rings.

If Aaron wins all the other things and finishes second in MVP voting, I hope I can fight back the tears.

By rightful owner I mean the person that really E-A-R-N-E-D it - Drew Brees.
As you said you think it belongs to AR - thats the problem the entire media organizations have brain washed people to think AR is so great it belongs to him - does not mean he earned it.

You sound like those nutty Patriot fans. Nobody earns the MVP award in any sport. And in every sport better individual numbers are subjective. As a result, team wins often make a difference to the voters. You act as though any one player can have their performance diminished by a vote of media members. I have news for you: Neither Brees or Rodgers are any less a QB because of this vote.

For example, when Michael Jordan was putting up better numbers but losing MVP awards to other popular players on teams that won more, was that unfair? Didn't Larry Bird "earn" it? Did it diminish Michael in any way? I could give you many more examples but I'm not sure you are even old enough to remember any of them.

Same as saying no award to GB losing to the KC Chiefs.

Someone finally wrote a worthy article about the better QB. Too bad the other delusioned commentators & fans aren't this smart.

Good gramps. Then you must know what I'm saying. Nobody earns an MVP award. They are graciously bestowed by those that vote.
