This is such a tragic event, I really just hope that the truth comes out, whether it be the football players admitting they truth or the girl admits she is lying. This whole mess should be over, someone needs to tell the truth...

Is 9news run by CSU and Nebraska grads? This is the act of people desparate to get a settlement even though they have nothing to stand on. This case will never go away because of the money involved.

Hey Joe-
NOT COOL. Really really not cool. Have some sensitivity for crying out loud. Do you even know the facts buddy? Do your research on the events of the last 6 years. There is clearly a controversy here and a horrible problem that must be handled...not forgotten about.
Your attitude and people like you make me cringe. No one is trying to 'hop on the CU rape bus'...how about wanting justice?

Did you hear anything about the civil suit being resurfaced? Um, no. The girl wants justice for herself.

Best of luck with Governeor Ritter. I wrote a letter to him asking that he review my brother's case. He was killed by a driver that was on meth and is only being charged with careless causing death. The governor is ultimately at the top of the district attorney's. I never heard back from him or his assistants. It's sad to know that our newly voted governor just turns the other cheek. If you want justice, you have to do it yourself. Hence the reason that I am at the helm of recalling Bonnie Roesink from office of the 14th judicial district. Sad but very true for these girls and our community.

--Hey Joe-- Maybe you didn't notice, or couldn't figure out on your own, the only proven (SELF ADMITTED) liar so far is Surrel. I was like, appalled by this story and you're all like, "It's always the woman's fault," and I'm like "What an idiot you are," and most everyone else is like 'What an idiot Joe is," and I'm like, "If there's no rape issue, why did so many people get fired?," and you're probably thinking like, "Duh, beats me."

Thanks for setting manhood back about a century or two and insulting and belittling women everywhere.

--Christina-- "Amerika" refers to an old miniseries where the USA is taken over by Russia. It seems right-wingers use it to insult liberals somehow. So I'm guessing Joe used it on purpose. IMO he actually makes a good point about person responsibility but to imply it's entirely the victim's fault is ludicrous, especially in light of Suller's changing recollection which corroborates at least some of what she has said all along. Her recollection has not changed and his has, so who is more credible?

Mr. Surell needs to get his story straight before he lands in jail. I have watched both interviews and he seemed to contradict himself. Mr. Surell needs to learn that 2 different accounts + self exonaration could bring about a police investigation.

Joe I work at the Metropolitan State College of Denver, and I take offense to your comments. Your demeanor and comments are at the very least unnaceptable. let me ask you a few questions?
1. What would you say if that was your girfriend that was raped and the football players got away?
2. What if it was your mother or sister?

I am 43 yrs old and my mother from time to time reminds me "Boy, if you do not have a constructive comment to contribute in a conversation, keep your mouth shut so that way you will not show who you really are" And that always prove to be true.

Does anyone think its at all odd that before all she and her associates cared about was suing the university and now all she wants is "justice?"

Why does everyone try and make it liberal or conservative? The Fact here is that the press again has taken someone who is innoccent and perpetuated them to be the evil football player. This is the EXACT same as in the Duke Rape Case, where the LAX we're found innocent! This is another case of the press perpetuating the "Poor girl gets raped by big football meanie" that they love to run a stry one every month or so. It sickens me how they have already cast aside the truth and justice of the case in order to accuse and innocent man. Do you think its just a coincidence that the case is re-attaked 6 and a half years later by the woman. Or maybe it becuase accusation cases are only valid for prosecution within seven years. This is a sick last ditch attempt by a horrible woman attempted to eek money out of the school system and another sad attack on an innocent man in the wrong place at the wrong time. The press should be ashaed for what they r doing here as well as in the duke rape case.

Amazing! Somebody actually is trying to put a political spin on this? I guess when you 'percieve' something it must be 'Reality' right? As a right-winger, I've never used nor heard the use of 'Amerika' as an insult to liberals. The bigger question though is why you would try to make this a right-left wing issue? Are you saying that left-wingers are the only ones who are horrified and disgusted by this whole situation? Again amazing and pitiful.

Guess right winger posts aren't approved for this forum eh?

I commented about the left-winger's insuations about how 'Joe' must be a right-winger due to 'Unreality's' accusation that we use 'Amerika' as an insult to liberals. Guess it must have ruffled some feathers as it's no longer here although 'Unreality's' post is. 9news in their typical liberal mindset.

Remember Right Wingers, we are not invited to the discussion when it comes to situations like this. Just stand aside and let the liberals make the decisions. Days to come...

Yep,

Guess we Right Wingers aren't allowed to post here. 9news in their typical liberal bias!

I'd posted originally in response to Unreality's post insinuating that Joe's post above must be a liberal taunt in using Amerika .vs. America. Guess the Libs are the only ones disgusted by this white-wash of a woman's victimization at the hands of criminals.

9news really has sunk to a new low. First off, the lawsuit this woman describes is a CIVIL SUIT, the Boulder DA wouldn't prosecute for lack of evidence! But 9news can't stand it. How this station gets ratings and awards is beyond me. Their coverage of the original rape "allegation" (which wasn't a "rape" trial AT ALL) was abhorrent. But now, hey, we can try to revive this thing!

Yes, there's are issues with not only the CU culture as a whole, but also college football as a whole. BUT, there's been a huge lack of evidence (aside from sometimes contradictory allegations in the Bane Kerr lawsuit) but plenty of maligning of the accused. That's another thing this station seems to LOVE! Going after people who don't have the benefit of a PR firm (unlike the accusers)...
