So Keep the WR who constantly drops catches (Davis), and cut the WR who hasn't been given a chance. Wow...

How many freakin 1st, 2nd and 3rd round draft picks of Angelo's have been dropped or turned out to be complete flops. Maybe we should trade a first round pick for a NFL quarterback!!!

Everyone here that was a Bears fan thought the pick of Bradley in the second was an excellent choice. You all were thrilled thinking that finally the Gage, Wade, and Terrell experiments were over.

Now you are screaming about Angelo and his draft picks? Maybe you need to realize he just about built the D that brought us to the Superbowl!

He brought us Alex Brown, Tillman, Briggs, Vasher, Harris, Manning, Hester, Dvoracek, and Anderson.

The 2005 draft was a total bust, yes. Orton is proving to his fans he's not an NFL quality QB. But Angelo can't dictate people not living up to their potential on offense, and people need to realize the coach has as much input in Angelo's draft day decisions as Angelo himself does.

We all knew this was coming. Even if Angelo would get fired, the Mcaskeys would still hire some idiot.
Even if we do draft a qb next year it will take at least 2-3 years to develop. Man we are in trouble.

I think you forgot Cedric Benson, Michael Haynes, Rex Grossman, Dan Bazuin, Garrett Wolfe and a few others bombs. Hitting on 50% or less of your picks is not somebody I would call a successful talent evaluator. Also, I don't know anybody who thought the Bradley pick was a good move. Nobody had even heard of him and he would have been available in a much later round.

How can we expect Bradley to produce when he isn't on the field. I don't see how he can be any worse than Davies(isn't catching the ball) or Booker(can't run past anybody). Giving up on a player as young as Bradley in favor of a fading veteran is why this team is in the shape that its in. See Archuleta instead of Chris Harris

Hey Philo if you think Orton is the problem with this team then you must not know any more about football than my 7 month old son. Well at least he has an excuse

Angelo should be fired over the Benson debacle alone, instead he gets an extention. We are in the wrong business.

As for trading a 1st round pick for a QB, we did under Wanny, remember Rick Mirer? LOL!

EMac makes a great point. With all of the problems R.Davis has had catching the football, especially a couple of crucial times in the past two weeks...why is Bradley the one that is released? He is younger and has much more of an upside than Davis and Booker combined. It's time to play some of the younger talent on this team, especially if the Bears do plan on Orton being their guy for the next few years...they can develop their timing and start to gel to make them more effective in the years to come.

The cutting of Mark Bradley will not effect this team at all. As a matter of fact it was long over due. Heck he should never have been drafted in the first place. Mark Bradley has proven to be nothing more than another injury prone wasted draft pick by Angelo. I say good riddance to him. Now if only Angelo, Phillips, Smith and the old lady would disapear maybe the Bears could get a real NFL ownership and mangagemnt group in place more in tune with 21st century pro sports. Until then get used to your Sundays being free.

Maybe you should go to NFL.com and look at the drafts of all the NFL teams over the past decade and see how many hit on more than Angelo has.

NFL draft scout ranked Bradley as the 8th best WR in the 2005 draft out of 202

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofil...

And you must not remember the 2005 draft because people were demanding a fast WR with game breaking ability. At that time, the knock on Berrian was he WASN'T fast (imagine that!) and the fans all thought Bradley would fit that mould and were thrilled to have him.
You may be shocked to find out that because you are like most of us an d follow only the Bears, that almost every NFL teams has the same failure rate.

Wolfe is a bust?

I also didn't add the names Forte, Berrian, Harrison, Bennett (who so many fans are now calling for), Olsen, McBride, Graham, Payne, Beekman, Williams, Cris Harris, Tank, Scott, Wade and Gage who seemed to fail because of our QB's and coaching more than because of lack of talent, as we now see, and Metcalf.

I also notice you leave off the Name of Orton from your list of failures, meaning you think he's one of the successes?

Sigh, what a nice, intelligent, and in depth response.

I'm very happy you allow your 7 year old to type for you.

If you think Orton is NOT a problem, you know nothing bout football.

Tarvaris Jackson was benched after week two with 308 yards and 1 TD.

Kyle Orton was still the starter in week three after 299 yards and 0 TD's

Mark Bulger has just been benched in St Louis. His stats? 588 yards, 58.4 comp %, 2 TD's, 2 INT's

Kyle Orton's stats? 567 yards, 62.1 comp %, 2 TD's, 2 INT's. He threw a pick six, Bulger didn't.

The Rams are one of the worst teams in the NFL, but the Bears are, according to some of you, one of the best, should be undefeated at this time.

Makes one wonder what port you are really watching.

Did my post earlier today give that nitwitted staff of ours an idea. Nahh, they just waited for week four to release WR Bradley, so Lovie can give the wonderful excuse to start Davis because they are now short WR's. Slowly but surely, this entire staff is working towards imploding this team by mid-season. Good Luck Orton; it doesn't look like Lovie the sandbag is trying to help you offensively! He's now getting ready to throw the WR's under the bus. Go Lovie Gump!!!

E Mac, you're an idiot. Philo's right. The entire 2005 draft is a bust starting with Benson! We have no NFL quarterback on this roster, but Rex is way more talented than Orton will ever be. Orton cannot even benefit from a great running game, something Rex never had last year. The last time Rex had a running game, we were in the Superbowl. Our coaches cannot evaluate talent and are very biased. Once they are in the dog house they are not getting out as evident with Bradley. I still can't believe that Bradley is not better or equal to the wrs that we put out there now.
We need a better coach. Put in the call for Cowher!!!

Daily Horoscope for December 30

Taurus

It's no good - the prospect of visiting the post-Christmas sales has become too tempting for you to resist any longer. No matter what you're doing today, you'll try to squeeze in the opportunity to dash around some of your favourite shops and see what's on offer. You could snap up some bargains but you should guard against the urge to splurge on items that you don't really want or need. The price of something may have been slashed but the acid test is whether you'd still buy it if it were full price. If not, leave it in the shop!
