Gee Jahn... thanks for caring. I've done that. But I also as you say, have a right to comment in my hometown newspaper. If I ever move to CA and your neck of the woods I won't comment in the Sun-Sentinel.. I'll choose YOUR newspaper. But I'll never comment on the Dolphins. Only about the local teams in your area. Regards- jahndoh wrote: Greg, I've long stopped wondering why you post here, obviously I never understood it, yet FULLY ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR RIGHT TO DO SO. But I'm projecting what I'd do if I were a Jets fan right now: I'd go to a jets board and celebrate with my fellow jet fans. I guess the fin fans can take it as a compliment that you'd prefer to share this HOFer signing with them vs. with your fellow jet fans. Hope all is well...regards.

FWIW, the SB Newspress is a rag that runs day old AP stories and our only sports teams are UCSB teams.....BUT We DID win 2 of the last 3 mens soccer national championships! Cheers

Yeah... you were "wondering" alright. Did I accuse you of picking a fight? Way to acknowledge my comments. You just won't admit that perhaps I have a point. Even though your "rag" runs old stories... I would comment if given the chance and it was my hometown paper. FWIW ... why I post on Topix articles is also an old subject. That doesn't seem to bother you from commenting. Perhaps you should give your local "rag" a try. Cheers back at ya. jahndoh wrote: <quoted text> Honestly, I was wondering...not picking a fight. I'm sorry I brought up the question of (the question not to be mentioned!). And I'd be happy to say "you have a point", no admission neccesary. In fact, your point merely reiterated what I CAPITALIZED in my post. (I'm cracking myself up at how many times I've tried to reread our limited coversation here in order to say the most diplomatic thing so as to avoid any conflict whatsoever) I honestly was wondering if you had been to any Jets blogs and whether you were as stoked about the Favre signing as I would have been. I'll try again. What's your honest opinion of Chad Pennington? I've read posts last year where you defended him, but it mostly along the lines of "he's better than anything the fins have had since marino". But I'm wondering if you were the fins would you have made this signing? AND how much do you think he has left?

To answer your question I've been to several Jets blogs and forums. Let's say I'm cautiously pleased right now. The jury is still out of Favre. However from what I've heard he's looking good in camp and he's picking up the offense. The WRs are commenting on how fat the ball gets to them. He threw a 75 yard (65 yards in the air) pass to Cotchery yesterday. He's been very humble so far as well. As far as Pennington is concerned I think it was an excellent move by the Dolphins. I definately would have made this signing. I still feel that he's the best QB to wear Aqua and Orange since Marino. On the down side, signing Pennington most likely has really hurt Beck's confidence. He was already fragile (in confidence) after last year. Also you have to wonder how Parcells signing his former players will work out. Are other Dolphin players going to get resentful? I think Pennington has alot left in the tank, and his leadership skills in the huddle will certainly help the Dolphins. However, teams will line up with 8 in the box and even cheat their secondary inward a little because Pennington will not be able to go deep and burn them. Thanks for being civil Jahn. jahndoh wrote: <quoted text> Seriously dude, when I stopped posting on these forums 3 months ago, we had buried the hatchet. Obviously you've forgotten. Regarding the players getting "resentful"...I doubt it, the only ones left know they better just get with the program or they'll be gone too I guess. I personally wonder how this is all gonna work out, given recent history I'm starting to get a bit jaded.

"Watching" tonight's preseason game against the Jags (19-0 DOlphins in the late 4th Q, Pennington and Henne got ALL the snaps. I guess in the 3rd and 4th preseason game, it'll be up to Beck and McCown to duel for the 3rd QB spot. Since Tavaris Jackson went down with a knee injury tonight, I wonder if Minnesota will be willing to deal.
