Why do Michael Vick's defenders always bring up Mike Tyson, Elijah Dukes, and Leonard Little? They always say: "See? You let them back into the game!"
Do you think that even one person who dislikes Michael Vick thinks that those three should be in the game? Even one? People who dislike Michael Vick believe that NONE of those guys were treated correctly. And you keep offering them as examples of how to treat Michael Vick! We didn't let them in, folks! You did! |

not to mention, bringing up the loyal dog analogy. Have you ever seen a dog recoil from fear? sure they will love and accept you. even after you betray them, but neither make it acceptable.
Eventually even the most loyal dog will bite back when mistreated. Vick certainly has a right to move past his indiscretion. But that should not imply a red carpet back into the lime light and fame. I do not know why so many people insist on putting this loser back into the game. Youd swear he was joe montana or someone who actually contributed to the Game. Has anyone forgotten his gambling too? or his organization and bankrolling of said illegal gambling?(pete rose anyone?) His lie under oath? that he career as a crook is now as long if not longer than his NFL career? This writer is just as delusional as Vick himself... "Yet Vick's crime is apparently an unforgiveable sin because it involves dogs? Why shouldn't crimes against humans be held in such contempt as well?" No you moron, the fact that it centered around mans best and loyal friend only attributes to the lack of humanity of Vick. That is the man you want the country to idolize. A man who victimized innocents. Forget your selfish whine and hollow comparison to human compassion for humans. Regardless of the "animal" he is guily on all fronts. Animal or human, he watched and delighted in the suffering of innocent beings that could not speak or defend themselves. But i guess it only works if it happens to be your dogs or your children that he victimized. pathetic. this country would sell its soul for its celebrates. |

First this Diaz guy says he hates lying sports figures: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/sports/orl-spo...
Now he loves vick and think he deserves a second chance? Evidently anyone can write for the sentinel. |

Vick is pure scum, but unfortunately he will sell tickets, so some morally corrupt team owner will pay big money to sign him.
I'd wager that Vick has learned nothing from this. That celebrities, especially sports celebrities, can do practically anything as long as they can still run fast or throw long has been reinforced. For once, will sports team owners show they have soul and say no to a miscreant sports star? Please? |

I think the fact that Vick caused and/or watched the brutality and resultant pain of many dogs, over and over again, and didn't feel anything - at least not enough to STOP it - is why he should continue to be an outcast. That's not plotting revenge, sir; that's getting some justice for all God's helpless creatures.

give it a rest. they were dogs. ok. dogs. hes not going to be in the lime light. they were dogs!!!! |
||||
what about the mother of two the mr. lenaord little killed in 98. no compassion for them. you probably never even heard of the man. do some homework on that topic and then comment. gods helpless creatures are us humans. Get a grip!! |
||||
Gods' helpless creatures are those who can't protect themselves, no matter the species. |
||||
Obviously a non dog owner. Pit bulls live to please their owners, that is why they fight even after they are hurt. He not only killed these dogs, he killed his own family pets. If he plays again and they come to St. Louis, I will be outside the stadium picketing with all the other dog lovers. I am not saying he should never play again but by golly he should have to at least PROVE he gets it. Cause I don't think he does. |
||||
Hmmm i had a particularly Troll like response. Then i realized that you think that being a starting NFL quarterback is not being in the lime light. then i realized your comment added far more value to my argument than anything i could write. thks |

I agree with you 100% |

MV is a POS without heart, or compassion.
It wouldn't faze me one bit, to watch MV get chewed to shreads by a rabid dog. you might be saying that I don't show compassion for the dirt bag, however, I believe in an eye for an eye. The poor dogs that suffered such gruelling torture from that POS. I will boycot all those that sponsor him. |
||||
I agree with you, except for one exception. I do not think he should ever play again. There is no shortage of good football players. He needs to be replaced permantly. |
||||
Maybe you are right. But I think everyone should be allowed a 2nd chance, but first they must prove they have earned it. |

If Michael Vick is reinstated into the NFL after committing the cruel, vicious crimes he did, then what was the point of professional baseball banning Pete Rose from Baseball for a far less and non-violent offense? Michael Vick should never be promoted to a celebrity position again. Think of what you are promoting. There are those who say he did his time so let him play. Well, why didn't we let Pete Rose return to professional Baseball? Why not release Charles Manson and let him get on with his life? Charles Manson wanted to be a rock star. Why not promote him on American Idol if you want to let Michael Vick return to the NFL?

1 Vick is busy trying to save both of his homes. He's not trying to move on. He's trying to pick up where he left off. Any sporting organization that welcomes him back is as greedy and corrupt as Vick himself. |

1 Beg to differ with you on one point. Mike Vick did feel something as he hung, electrocuted, drowned and put helpless pets and injured or marginal dogs in the ring with top-of-their-game killers : SADISTIC PLEASURE! |

1 If you look at the long list of symptoms of Antisocial Personality Disorder (APD), you'll see a very close correlation with Michael Vick's situation and behavior. I'm not a psychiatrist, but I subscribe to a "reasonable person" analysis that that can't be a complete accident and the shoe easily and certainly fits. Apparently when PETA received evidence of his unsurpassed level of vicious cruelty, they would't even let him seek to rehabilitate himself as a point man for them. As for Marvin and Mia I recommend that you don't explain this to them then introduce them to MV. |
