Lavar Arrington has a sports bar located in the Boulevard At Capital Centre complex in Largo, MD. In the fall of 2007 Mr Arrington, through his company, F.A.M.M., LLC. contracted to have his sports bar renovated. As of July 2008, he has yet to pay the contractor, they in turn have not paid the subcontractors, for all of the work done, although the business is bustling every night. As construction law dictates contractors and subs can not enter a building and simply take back their material. So, while Lavar Arrington rakes in the dough from his nicely renovated restaurant, the companies that laid out money for material and labor, not to mention fuel, are out their money. Making any type of profit on the job has gone out the window.
