during free agency it should be paramount that we sign Delman. However, nose tackle isn,t really a problem. We have plenty of young defensive lineman and we also could draft a nose tackle. The problem is that people forget that the dolphins are not a playoff team. Why can,t we play some of these unproven kids? Lastly, I know it may be a reach but we need to draft Anthony Sopencer in the first round. There just aren,t that many 3-4 pass rushing linebackers available. We don,t want the JETS OR PATRIOTS DRAFTING THIS KID.

I agree about trent green. He might be the most overrated qb in the nfl. I think we should draft levi brown in the first round and hope culpepper doesn't suck this year.

well I just hope we get a lt and wr in this draft as far as offense and a olb and a nt on defense. if we get trent green i hope lemon is our #2 guy . i wish the dolphins could get stanton or kolb and 2 wrs to improve our wr corp. i think wr and olb is really our biggest needs followed by lt , nt, and qb

I can't believe he didn't mention the bengals guard steinback. I think he may be the nest of the bunch. Also no mention of our tackle from michigan state. What is up with him next year.

I'm betting the fins are doing everything they can to trade down in the draft and get more picks unless someone really good falls in our lap. i don't think we're picking high enough to get a major blue-chipper anyway, and we're at least a couple years away from seriously competing. We need to stockpile players in the draft and start building this team for a run 2-3 years from now. Unfortunately, our defense will also be 2-3 years older. We need to balance out both sides of the ball with younger players waiting to move up and take spots and that means getting as many bodies as you can in camp and weeding out from there. The sad part is that Saban and Wannie should have done this exact thing by now, but they wasted 5 years doing nothing but giving away draft picks and filling our roster with older players.
matt roth is a player, but i don't know whether he's just gonna be a good player or an elite player yet. Alabi...well, i just haven't seen him enough to know anything. we also have vickerson and allen and other 2nd or 3rd year players who could be potential starters for the next few years, but i haven't seen enough from any of them to know anything for sure yet. Actually, I'm looking forward to seeing Allen and Roth play next year b/c i think they both might be excellent players given some experience.
I still think OL is a priority, but we have so many holes to fill. beggers can't be chosers and right now the fins are begging the defense to hang tough for the next 3 years while we build an offense to support it...or at least keep us in the game.

Trent Green? We should grab him and he'll be the only QB in history to have played for every team in the NFL!

unfortunately with new coaches they try to make a dramatic impact right away by signing a big name guy they played poker with back in high school... i think we should have ms. cleo and daunte battle it out and draft a qb in the 3rd round to be a third stringer... our 0-line will probably be a mess again this year anyway.. so the QB poistion really doesn't matter.. we should work on staffing the team with younger guys on defensefor the future and a couple of young weapons on offense

I have no idea what Marvez is focusing so much on defense when the offense has basically been an issue. So, you say 3 of 5 areas should be on defense with a team that average just over 16 points a game. The focus needs to be Offensive Line, then need some speed WR's that can catch (enough is enough with Chambers - he wouldn't be a #1 on other teams). Once some new blood is on offense, then you can look at filling the defense. But, you need to fix that Offensive line. A QB can't be throwing from his back.

Good points...and true. If the right pick is not there, then trade down to pick up more picks. It's a rather weak draft overall on talent. All teams have holes, buy Miami is a boat with all types of holes. We don't have enough fingers and toes to put in the holes of the boat. Look, if you don't change this team, then you just play off the previous talent which produced a great 6-10 record and can't win in the Division. I wouldn't say this team has lots of talent. We know what the players are like that have started the last 2 years. As for players that haven't really gotten a chance, then that's the area of having some potential.

5 biggest needs in offseason:
1- LT: best bet is draft one (1st day) & he & Alabi can battle.
2- LG: sign Dielman or next best guy.
3- WR: 1st or 2nd round pick (hopefully Ginn).
4- OLB: Joey Porter. If not, then somebody.
5- CB: Draft or sign. Niners scored with little known Walt Harris, ie.

DL: we have plenty of young, late draft picks the last 2 yrs.
Oh and, for the love of god, keep Shelton at OG.

One more thing... drafting a safety, first round, should be the last priority next to rb. We drafted J. Allen last year and have Hill and Bell. I'd be extremely disappointed if we drafted a safety with #9 pick.

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Scorpio

This is not the easiest day for concentrating on what needs to be done, whether tackling those Christmas cards and letters, writing out a list of jobs, or getting on with other urgent work. Mental activity seems to be blocked, as Mars is slowing and Mercury is under cosmic pressure. Take some time out for meditation, or reflection, and let your subconscious do the work.
