IF it were something wrong im sure it would have been reported,so im assuming the Packers are satisfied with what they have on the roster and want to get younger. They like the young receivers as a compliment to Donald Driver.

Maybe, he's 28 and Driver is 33, so maybe Driver will get cut yet too?
Actually, his return game dropped off from a couple of years ago, but something smells fishy about this move, I'm just not quite sure what it is yet

I have to say I agree with you 40 for 60. Something is just not right here. The Packers got a great return on the money they spent on Robinson, so the excuse they let him go just because they got some unproven new rookies just doesn't add up. Frankly I don't trust Thompson as far as I could throw him,(mainly due to how he drove Favre out of town) so I am suspicious of any move he makes. There was absolutely no reason let Robinson go. The only possible conclusion that anyone can come to is that Thompson wants to cut absolutely all ties the Packers had with Favre. Favre was one of the the strongest voices on the team who pushed for keeping Robinson on the roster. With Brett gone, it was only a matter of time before Robinson was cut as well. Thompson is going to find out all to soon how his moves (and his ego) have cost the Packers. Welcome back to the Forrest Greg years fellow Packer fans.

The Pack will only keep 5, maybe 6 receivers on the roster. Driver, Jennings, Jones, Nelson and Martin are locks. A toss up for the final between Bodiford, Swain and the rest. Robinson had a nagging injury and was not needed in the return game. The only thing K-Rob has left as a selling point... is his sure hands. He has no speed, nor moves left- and he's not getting any younger. Good move by Thompson.

i think the reason the pack cut robinson was his knee. they looked at the current group of receivers and decided that martin had more potential.

I think it might just be value versus return (no pun intended--well maybe). They drafted or signed 2-3 return guys, in addition to Williams and Blackmon, but I think they'd like to get Woodson off the punt return team. The other thing is that Robinson is your 4th wideout and Ruvell Martin probably should get more playing time anyway. So is he worth the money, or would Jordy Nelson or another young guy doing double duty be a better value as your 4th or 5th wideout? I don't think Driver's going anywhere soon. He's the leader of that group and de facto coach.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Aquarius

If you're still happily munching chocolates and all sorts of other goodies, you'll have to take yourself in hand at some point during the coming fortnight. Maybe you'll have to compensate for all the festive over-eating by taking more exercise or cutting back on the calories, or perhaps you'll decide that you can't delay giving up smoking any longer. As Mercury turns in your twelfth house of secrets, messages you receive at this time may be very subtle or contain hidden meanings meant only for your understanding.
