Ouch. It doesn't sound good at all for this young man. It's a freak thing, but players know playing a game so physical as football that injuries are possible. No one forsees one like this coming of course. I hope he will recover as much as possible and still have a decent quality of life even if he never plays football again.

Yeah, he was doing something that he loved. To bad he wasn't doing it right. |

For a man who loves the game this is a very sad day. I hope he has a full recovery and my thoughts and prayers are with him, his family and the fans of NY.

Wow Greeley, please post your real name so we can know your NFL credentials. You seem to know all about the game, so please, enlighten us.
Accidents HAPPEN. It's part of the risk of playing sports. Heck, I broke my ankle playing ice hockey just turning around. My thoughts are with Everett. I hope he can beat the odds. |

Thanks for sharing your insensitivity for the rest of us to see. Put your opinion where the sun doesn't shine L-O-S-E-R ! |

Uh - it's nice to send pleasant bubble gum thoughts, but face it - football is a violent barbaric, rough game. It's not about the agility but about beating the crap out of each other.
I respect gymnasts, swimmers, and tri-athletes much more than dumb jocks who got a free pass through college for keeping the chamber of commerce happy. Keeping your body toned, fit, and in peak performance is respectable in those sports. Football players are bloated jocks who drive themselves to non-reparable injuries. For what? Seriously, what's the point? james http://www.futuregringo.com |
