Full story: TwinCities.com

Michael Vick never wavered in his confidence that he could command an offense again after a self-destructive downfall that included prison, bankruptcy and scorn for his role in an illegal dogfighting operation.

Michael Vick is the definition of the N-word. And people criticized Pete Rose. Mr. Rose is a saint compared to the likes of Vick, a common thug. No wonder the rest of the world makes fun of us.

Michael Vick admits he did wrong, served his time and has improved his life. He made a mistake, a big one. He is doing the right thing. He admitted it, took accountability for it, now he is working on improving his life. He was knocked down, he is earning his way back up. I understand why animal lovers are upset. But he has paid for his crime. He is just trying to move on. Let's forgive him and hope he continues to improve his life style.

A classic illustration for the real reason these "Deranged Beast Lovers" hate Mr. Vick.

Sooner or later it always comes out.

Right - what a refreshing post. On this forum, we get such a steady stream of moronic drivel - like that from the every day poster, WHATEVER, from Las Vegas, it almost makes you lose perspective. This complete loser (WHATEVER) thinks we'd have 10 wins if we had kept Childress. This is the same imbecile who thinks, and has said Aaron Rodgers has no talent and will never be an NFL quarterback success - he said so many times on this board, but that Jokeson should still be developed and is a huge success in the making. WHATEVER is not only sickeningly partisan, but ethically blind, stuck inside a box with tunnel vision, totally unable to see anything peripheral - or central, outside of his box. Well, fortunately, we have posters like you to shift the balance back to the knowledgeable and sane side of the spectrum. This organization is an unabashed failure because of the triangle of authority structure, wayyyyyy too much power given to a completely incapable egomaniac who never did what was best for the team - and used the team and organization as his personal plaything. He had contempt for the fans, unlike all other head coaches I've ever seen (in 48 years of watching and going to games), and never, ever thanked the fans for their support or input (they constituted a challenge to his *authority*- thus were seen as enemies to be hated, not as his collective employers which they in fact were. And you're right to criticize the owner - sports stupid owners hurt organizations badly, and this one went against all logic and sensibility - PLUS the overwhelming largess of professional (players from within and without, peers, other coaches, analysts) wisdom in keeping Childress moron. And he did so for a long time, allowing his team to resume the position of NFL laughing stock. The only thing worse than an ignoramus owner like this is an apologist, partisan crap brain fan who supports what everyone else clearly sees as a detrimental, losing philosophy. These imbecile fans are nothing less than enablers of sustained failure, and belong out the door with a steel-tipped boot right behind them.

Fighting dogs for the majority of his life is not a mistake it's a lifestyle. BTW- he's had more than his share of second chances.

Second chances should go to those who step up like men before they're forced to.

Of course they're all a bunch of blow hards when it comes to how much they "supposedly" care about animals, but many like the "one" you responded to are posting on these forums at all times of the day.

They think if they let their pet beast sleep with them they're doing something extrodinary for animal welfare, hypocrites the lot of'em.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Cancer

You have stars in your eyes and you're in a really romantic mood today. Your idea of heaven is to be with that special person in your life, preferably doing something very nice. If you meet someone new or a relationship gets off the ground today, things will always be rather dreamy and otherworldly between you. It will be as though real life, with all its problems, never intrudes on your time together.
