Girl, 10, dies in Christmas parade float accident

Full story: WHDH

A trailer carrying children in a Christmas parade struck and killed a 10-year-old girl who had jumped out of a pickup truck driving among the floats Saturday, police said.

-The drivers.
-The manufacturers of the vehicles.
-The garage that maintained the brakes.
-The parade organizers.
-The insurance company that underwrote the parade.
-The city engineer who planned the street layout.
-The company that surfaced the street.

Were there any crepe paper or flowers involved? Then...
-Any company that grew, made, manufactured, packaged, shipped, received or distributed those things.
-The parents of any child in the parade that didn't die.
-And lest we forget: the ambulance company, the paramedics and the hospital.

I think that should cover it.

Wait! Did the weatherman get the forecast right that day? Was there anything that could be blamed on the weather?

All kidding aside. No 10 year old should die in any parade, nevermind a Xmas one. Perhaps kids in parades isn't a good idea unless they are firmly buckled in according to state law.

Oops. I forgot suing the state. Them, too.

isin't it against the law to ride in the back of a pick up truck parade or not?
