Well Auntie, I don't see a lot of teams rushing out to sign him up. He was given 4 years to prove himself in Green Bay, and he didn't. Players are paid based on what they contribute to the team, and Najeh did not contribute much during his time here, because he was always out with injuries.

Here in Wisconsin, we wish Najeh the best. You will find that Packer fans respect a good effort, and don't resort to childish comments such as those that you have put forth in this thread.

Jerry put it the best. Despite the fact that we don't think he was going to be a good fit here in GB, I think most of us can say that we wish him the best wherever he goes. The only person that I don't wish well is Javon Walker, but that's a story for a different thread ;)
And your comments about Brett Favre have absolutely nothing to do with Najeh Davenport, and whether Favre is good or not has no bearing on how good Davenport is. Please stop making such ad hominem arguments.

keep dreaming, greenbay sucks! and henry, you just said brett had nothing to do with najeh, so the same thing apply to javon walker. he was awesome, so was mike mckenzie, and darren sharper, but the packers are so cheap, they didnt want to pay these guys what they diserved, so all of them are better off on teams, who appreciate them. that why the packers suck every year, they need to fire half of the staff and start over, keep the new coach he deserved a chance to turn this sorry team around. go ahmad green, donald driver and bubba franks. keep up the good work! and sorry jerry, you sound like a overweightloser! get some help!

Aunti i hopew you realize 1 pitts. is nutorious for losing starters every year ( they lost more f.a. than any team in football)

2 the packers have more wins in a 10 year span than anyteam in the n.f.l.

3 the pack are rebuilding ( every team goes through it,and it will take a few yeqars for them to be back, and beleive me they will be back

4 of course a women from miami will back up a back from miami!!!

5 there is not 1 packer fan who doesnt like Davenport,he just wasnt a top 3 back on the packer roster, dont be so hostile,,,and ENJOY THE SEASON!!!

Your unfounded personal attacks, sweeping generalizations, and generally uninformed postings are not appreciated here. Please take that dribble elsewhere. Nowhere did I say ANYTHING about Walker, McKenzie, or Sharper. That's called a straw-man arguemnt, and I won't have anything to do with that. And your comment about Jerry is simply uncalled for. He's a regular poster on this forum, and gives his opinion in an intriguing, unobtrusive way. Post more when you can perhaps stop being so negative and innaccurate.

Easy auntie! Mckenzie/Walker were bad influences that had contracts and were not going to play if they didn't get there way..[so good riddance]
Sharper/Longwell (free agents) are on the down hill side of there careers, so why pay them more then what they are worth. Thompson in his second season needs to do what is good for the organization for the long haul and not for today..
What he will do will p### some people off but so did Wolfe.. He'll make mistakes as Wolfe did as they are only human..Cutting Davenport doesn't make the organization cheap, the man was not doing his job for what he was hired for.. As far as firing they just did that and the season is just starting.

So let me see if i got this right.......Everybody else is a problem and gets shipped out of town.If you want to talk about the downside of a career you cant find a better example of that than favre. Theres some money tied up in rodgers why not play him? He's the future ......not the int machine favre. Do whats best for the organization right Norton ?

They should have played Rodgers yesterday,NO DOUBT.We have to see what the kid has,and its very obvious that Favre is far passed prime. We need to see if Rodgers is the future.

Eric if they would have put Rodgers in the game, then he would have been the one throwing interceptions and you would have been calling him a bust. Chicago has one of the best defenses in the NFL, and if your down 26 and have to throw behind a young O-line it doesn't matter who is QB.

Good call kidflash! No way do you put Rodgers in under those conditions...

On the nose with that one. Besides, what did Rodgers do durning the pre-season to inspire such confidence? Was there a come-from-behind win that he soley engineered that I might have missed?

You're right, he didn't get a come-from-behind. But unless you watched the games (I'm not accusing you of not, just saying...), then it's difficult to say what's so improved about him. However, if you DO watch the games, you'll see a much more confident, much more poised, much less robotic, much more comfortable Aaron Rodgers. He's finally starting to look like the SoCal QB we drafted last year, rather than the scared-looking rookie he played as last season. Does this mean he's a lock to be a great QB? Not necessarily. However, it's still a damn good start to our QB of the future.

I wounldnt have called him a bust!!!That IS the reason to put him in now!!! get the int,s and the timing and all the learning and mistakes that will happen, from growing pains into this year, while there will be no pressure because we are getting beat badly or were way ahead. Its better than Favre retiring or being traded or whatever, than naming Rodgers starting qb with 50 snaps or whatever under his belt.He needs reps to get comfortable.

Daily Horoscope for January 7

Sagittarius

If you have any worries or problems today, a close colleague could have the answers you seek. Work will be satisfying, and anything to do with children should be very rewarding today. There could be friction with a relative, but it's nothing serious and things will sort themselves out in due course. Again, you must pay attention to your health, Saggitarius: skin infections are a strong possibility at the moment.
