I hope Jake Delhomme throws Muhammed a pass over the middle and Mike Brown gets a 5-yard running start and CLOCKS him.

When the "receivers go to die" statement came out, I thought something wasn't right because we fans always showed Moose the love and he was never a big mouth while he was here. That said, I hope Mike Brown gets a shot at him too.

I think "Moose" is a little nervous now. I think he will devlop a severe case of "Gator Arm-itus". He'll faint before he catches a pass over the middle. If I was him I wouldn't worry about Brown as much as I would about Urlacher drilling him over the middle! Don't kid yourself he will wait for him and just drill him into the turf! Well if this is where receivers go to die, I guess the D will help him get there!

if i'm not mistaken, there were one or two times he did come after rex or orton. i just never liked him, personally. even when he signed he just gave me...benson vibes. like he has his own agenda or something. he also seemed to drop a crap load and seemed to give up on alot of plays as well. but he's gone so who cares. go bears. panthers should be more of a test than the colts.

When Mushin left Chicago a lot of its wind left with him. If this guy could play half as good as he can talk he would be an all-pro.

We used to have pools at the bar for how many dropped passes Mushin would have during the game. Such was the testament to his talent.

He said what he said and that's it. Man up, Mushin! This mealy-mouth explanation soulds like you are trying to weasel your way out of it. Face the music.

When you came here you were supposed to be the cure, but instead you became a big part of the problem.

Good riddance!

This isn't where receivers go to die, just ask Marty Booker...
I am sure that MM was no worse at hanging his quarterbacks out than BB, who went to save the Vikings. What is their record again?

"Moose" is right that he sacraficed for the team during 2006 but his job was to block, not catch 100 passes so "shut the !@#$ up". You are no longer a Bear because your skills level has greatly deteriorated. Chicago was good to you "Moose" and don't you forget it!

The guy was voted team captain three years in a row.
I have friends in Iowa who verify Orton and him have hunted.
This is writers trying to stir something up.
It's the Bears vs the Panthers.
I don't think Moose will be any more afraid of the Bears than a few of the Bears will be of Chris Harris laying wood on them.

Moose was a nice asset to the Bears and i'm sad to see him go. I believe there was no "hostility" between him and the Bears. I believe it was just a salary issue.

The Muslim didn't last in Chicago because of only one reason--that being he couldn't catch the ball when it was thrown to him. How many passes did he have in his hands and drop? Especially in the end zone! At least 10-15 in the time he was here. Check the records. Receivers only die here because they can't catch the ball but it is never the players fault, it can always be blamed on the team and system. Most receivers have one job and only one job and that is to catch the ball. If they don't then they aren't doing their job, it is as simple as that. Anything else said is pour BS excuses.

*yawn*...this article is much ado about nothing...just a writer who needed to make his deadline.

Although Moose wasn't all-pro....the entire offense was at fault. Cracks me up to see people jumping all over his case.

Chicago IS where receivers go to die...because of our "get off the bus running" clock management style of offense.

The 2nd green bay game last year, Moose dropped an easy pass in the Endzone. It was freezing cold, but why make excuses.

Muhammad appeared in all ways to be a leader, and a pretty good receiver as well. I never heard anybody complain about his blocking, and he looked pretty good when the quarterback was playing well/in rythm. Nobody's perfect, and to be a leader you are going to have an ego and maybe seek better treatment or position than others, but that's just the way life is. Anybody that says he was a bad guy or good riddance just shows why some Chicago fans don't deserve a winner anyway.

Funny how Moose comes out with this, right before the game! After he saw what our Defense did to the Colts. He is Scared of our Defense, after throwing our team under the bus.Facts are He said what he said.He did throw Rex & Kyle under the bus,& didnt keep it in house! Then the comment of receivers coming here to Die remark. He is a Punk & cant keep his mouth shut!! Maybe the Bears Defense can help him with that! I never liked the guy,he is a Me player.Moose will be nervous,& we will see some drops from him I am sure. The Bears "D" is going to be Fired Up! The Bears also want to Avenge that play off loss to Carolina. It will be huge if we get a 2nd win on the road vs a good team.We would head home 2-0, and with alot of Confidence!! Lets go Bear Fans,Bear Down!!! GOD BLESS!! GO BEARS!!!!

Moose is right except it's not only where receivers go to die but where QB's go to flounder and die. I have been a fan for over 40 years and have not seen a consistent pro bowl type player at either position. A storied franchise like ours with only 1 Super Bowl victory, very disappointing!!!!! Good defenses..3 and out offenses!!!!
