2009 defense will be in flux

Saying theses things looks like they looking for a way ou t if it doesn't work. The players would be the problem ? may be . But after this year and cleaning house on the D coaches. who can they blame? maybe MM and TT. They go from saying they are young to injuries and now start this before camp even opens. Even AR says injuries all teams have them (pitts. did this year). LOSERS STATE THINGS WHAT COULD HAPPEN AND HAVE EXCUSES NOT WINNERS.

It does come off that way, doesn't it? I think there are 2 things going on here--and if you read the quotes carefully...(1) McCarthy says it's like when he "took over 3 years ago" (8-8) with this D, which is not what we all have in mind, and he says it "utilizes the talents of the players," as if the old defense did not.(2) We ARE young and had injuries. We have no depth. It's painfully obvious. That's why we aren't the Steelers. It's not the scheme. The Scheme worked fine when we were 13-3 and healthy. Think Al Harris wants to play zone? We drafted all these press corners and now we're gonna play diamond zone? Yes, it'll take some time. Bless them all and I hope it works, but our personnel are suited to Bates/Sanders system and we'll need one helluva draft/FA off-season to change that. This was a not logical move--unless they want Capers in line should Mike falter.
